SCIENCE IN 60+: UNBREAK MY HEART

Cardiologist Hesham Sadek, M.D., Ph.D., talks about his studies involving heart
tissue regeneration, current breakthroughs, and future prospects for this line
of research. Dr. Sadek, a Professor of Internal Medicine, Biophysics, and
Molecular Biology, also serves as Associate Director in the Center for
Regenerative Science and Medicine and holds the J. Fred Schoellkopf, Jr. Chair
in Cardiology.


SIMULATION TECHNOLOGY ENERGIZES BIOMEDICAL PREPARATORY STUDENTS

Second grade students from Biomedical Preparatory at UT Southwestern visited the
Simulation Center in October for a day of learning and fun. The students
participated in hands-on activities, guided by faculty, using the center’s
state-of-the-art equipment.
