WORLD CHAMPS! TEAM USA DEFEATS CHINESE TAIPEI, WINS GOLD AT WBSC U-18 BASEBALL
WORLD CUP

Thanks to five unanswered runs in the final four innings combined with strong
outings on the mound by Matthew Dallas, Blake Mitchell and Bryce Eldridge, Team
USA defeated Chinese Taipei, 5-1, on Sunday afternoon in the title game of the
WBSC U-18 Baseball World Cup at Ed Smith Stadium in Sarasota, Florida.

 * USA BASEBALL ANNOUNCES 2021 18U NATIONAL TEAM TRIALS ROSTER

   USA Baseball today announced the 40-man 2021 18U National Team Trials roster
   selected from the 2021 Prospect Development Pipeline (PDP) League, following
   the event’s conclusion on Saturday. The 2021 18U National Team Trials will be
   held August 27-31 in Sarasota and Bradenton, Florida. The final 18U National
   Team will then compete against Canada in a seven-game friendship series from
   September 3-9.

 * MARK DEROSA NAMED TEAM USA'S WORLD BASEBALL CLASSIC MANAGER

   DeRosa, a member of Team USA’s WBC team in 2009, will make his professional
   coaching debut as the U.S. looks to defend its world championship title next
   Spring. A 16-year MLB veteran, DeRosa is currently a co-host of MLB Network’s
   daily morning program, MLB Central.

   Team Manager R.J. Farrell.
