TAKE THE QUIZ

FIND OUT WHERE YOUR CURRENT ROLE FALLS ON THE EXPLOITATION-TO-UNICORN SPECTRUM

EMPLOYEE

HAPPINESS

FRAMEWORK

The Employee Happiness Framework revolves around three pillars: Systems &
Processes, Leadership & Support, and Compensation. A generous serving of all
three ingredients can whip up a unicorn role. However, a scarcity in these
elements often spells exploitation.

Let’s look at the definition of exploitation:

“the act or fact of treating someone unfairly in order to benefit from their
work”

In a system engineered to maximize value extraction from the many for the
benefit of the few, awareness acts as the cornerstone of change.

Understanding the root of work dissatisfaction can be a complex puzzle. By
pinpointing the factors that matter most to an employee and gauging their role's
position on the Exploitation-to-Unicorn Spectrum, they gain insights into the
value they receive beyond just monetary compensation. With this perspective,
they can discern if there's an imbalance in the exchange and kickstart their
self-advocacy journey.
