Explore will take place in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the Venetian Convention and Expo Center, August 26 – 29, 2024. What is the address of the Venetian Convention and Expo Center? Explore is the industry’s essential cloud event that enables attendees to efficiently modernize infrastructure, accelerate app development and protect everything, everywhere. Join your peers to access rich technical content, product expertise and community resources. Who should attend VMware Explore? Those engaged in cloud infrastructure, networking, security, load-balancing, software-defined edge, enterprise applications and private AI will be among their peers at Explore. What is the common language spoken at VMware Explore in Las Vegas? The official language of the event is English, and all general sessions, breakout sessions, and hands-on labs will be presented in English. Select sessions will have Japanese translation available. If you wish to bring a translator, please contact the VMware Explore registration team at vmwareexploreusregistration@vmware-events.com for more information. What is the recommended event attire? Casual to business dress is appropriate. We do recommend dressing in layers as temperatures can vary. Is there an age minimum to attend? You must be at least 21 years of age to attend VMware Explore in Las Vegas. What disability assistance is available? If you require assistance for a disability, please indicate your requirements on the registration form. Who do I contact for questions? Please visit our contact page for more information. REGISTRATION Expand Which account do I use for login? How can I get login assistance? Find answers for common login and account issues on the My Event Account FAQ page. What are the registration fees for the event and what is included? Visit the registration pricing page to see the current rate of the full event pass and what is included. Are there any discounts? Yes, we offer discounts for early registration, groups, VMUG Advantage level members, and attendees in the government and education sectors. View the registration pricing page for more information. What payments do you accept for registration? When registering, you can pay by credit card or wire transfer. The option to pay by wire transfer will be available until 5:00 PM PDT on July 26, 2024. Payment must be received to print a badge onsite. Is there a deadline for registration? No, there's no deadline. You can register online through the last day of the event. However, there are discounts for early registration. What is the cancellation policy? All cancellations must be received in writing via email at VMwareExploreUSRegistration@vmware-events.com. If you cancel prior to 5:00 PM PDT on July 26, 2024, you will receive a full refund. After July 26 at 5:00 PM PDT, please email the registration team to learn about your cancellation options. Group pass purchases are non-refundable. I am unable to attend VMware Explore Las Vegas. How can I transfer my pass? If you can no longer attend and want to transfer your pass to a colleague, please email VMwareExploreUSRegistration@vmware-events.com. Can I be denied registration for any reason? Broadcom reserves the right to deny registration to any individual or entity for any reason, at Broadcom's sole discretion, including past or present failure to meet Broadcom's standards of conduct, and also including (but not limited to) engaging in violent, illegal, threatening, or discriminatory conduct. Can I register for multiple VMware Explore events? Registration for each event is separate, and you will need to register and pay (if applicable) for each event independently. EVENT ACCESS Expand Will I need a badge to get in? Yes, an event badge is required for entry and should be worn at all times. You'll be able to pick up your badge at the VMware Explore registration desk during open registration hours. For security purposes, be prepared to show identification. If you lose your badge, you can show photo identification and have it reprinted at a registration assistance desk for a fee. Will my badge include access to SpringOne? The VMware Explore full event pass includes access to SpringOne sessions that focus on enabling Spring developers to build microservices, web apps, serverless, event-driven, reactive, and cloud workloads across the software industry. Do I need a visa to attend the event? There are a few countries that require a visa for entry. We recommend checking in advance with your country's local US consulate for details and requirements. How do I obtain a visa invitation letter? During the registration process, you will be asked if you require a visa letter. To request a visa letter from the VMware Explore team, please be prepared to provide the following information: • Full name on passport • Date and place of birth • Gender • Nationality • Passport number, place and date of issue, and date of expiration • Are you a government official? [yes, no] Visa invitation letters will be submitted for approval for attendees who have requested a letter and have completed registration data for a full event pass, including payment. Please note that we can only issue visa letters for fully paid attendees, and you will need to allow two to three weeks for your embassy to process your request. Visa letter requests will not be accepted after July 26, 2024. HOUSING Expand Which hotels are official VMware Explore Las Vegas hotels? Explore Las Vegas has an event room block at the Venetian for $169 per night plus taxes and fees. To secure a room at the event rate, make your hotel arrangements via the Explore booking tool after you complete registration. Please note the hotel booking tool closes at 6:00 PM PDT on July 19. Do I need to contact the hotel to book my reservation in the VMware Explore room block? When you register online for Explore, you will have an opportunity to request a room in the Explore hotel block and provide your check-in and check-out dates. A hotel reservation will then be made for you and guaranteed with your credit card. You are also free to make your own reservations directly with the hotel of your choice if you would like to book outside of the Explore hotel block. If I am not registered for VMware Explore; how do I book my hotel room? You are free to make your own reservations directly with the hotel of your choice. However, to take advantage of the Explore discounted room rates, you must be registered for Explore and make your hotel arrangements via the Explore booking process after you complete registration. Please note the hotel booking tool closes at 6:00 PM PDT on July 19. Do I need to give a credit card to reserve my room? Yes, a credit card will be needed to confirm your reservation through the VMware Explore booking process. MEALS Expand What special dietary requirements are accommodated for event-provided meals? If you have any special dietary requests, please be sure to inform us during the registration process. Limited vegetarian and gluten-free options are available at most event-related meal functions. What meals are provided? The following attendee meals and refreshments are included with your purchase of a full event pass: • Monday: breakfast, lunch and light appetizers at the Welcome Reception • Tuesday: breakfast and lunch • Wednesday: breakfast, lunch and light dinner at The Party • Thursday: breakfast SESSIONS AND SPEAKERS Expand What is the content catalog, and when will it be available? The content catalog provides a comprehensive list of breakout sessions, hands-on labs, and other sessions. Whether you've already registered or are still considering attending Explore, you can use the content catalog to check out topics and speakers, and find the sessions that meet your event goals. Can I preregister for sessions? Yes! If you have completed your registration and payment for VMware Explore, you can preregister for sessions and begin building out your personal schedule for the week. Because breakout sessions can fill up quickly, we advise preregistering at your earliest convenience. Can I get copies of the material presented at the event? Yes, most presentations will be posted after VMware Explore. Please note that only those sessions that are pre-approved for publication are made available online. What sessions will be broadcast live? There will be a live broadcast for the General Session on Tuesday, August 27 from 9:00 to 10:00 AM PST. This live broadcast is free to attend and will be streamed through the VMware Explore website. Visit the live broadcast page to sign-up for reminders. Where can I access past sessions?
