Dynasty Rankings - Quarterbacks
Updated: 8/7/2023

Mike Krueger | Archive | Email |

Cheatsheets: QB | RB | WR | TE | MFL Power | Print

My off-season PPR dynasty rankings gaze into the future with a two-year
emphasis. As the season begins, a more narrow approach to the rankings will
occur as we try to win a championship. Positional dynamics play an important
factor. We know that running backs tend to have shorter careers while top flight
quarterbacks can stick in the league for 10-plus seasons.

Other considerations include age, contract situation, durability, consistency,
supporting cast and more.

COMMENTS   Josh Allen, BUF: A top 5 fantasy QB each of the last three seasons.

Patrick Mahomes, KC: Two 5000-yard, 40-TD seasons.

Jalen Hurts, PHI: Back-to-back double-digit rushing TDs seasons.

Lamar Jackson, BAL: Contract signed. Legit weapons on the outside.

Joe Burrow, CIN: Weapons keep Burrow in the top 10.

Justin Herbert, LAC: Early rib injury derailed his 2022 season.

Trevor Lawrence, JAC: Add Ridley to the mix in 2023.

Justin Fields, CHI: Has yet to become and adequate NFL thrower. D.J. Moore
added to the mix.

Dak Prescott, DAL: Maintaining low-end QB1 value when healthy.

Deshaun Watson, CLE: Limited action in 2022 was underwhelming.

Anthony Richardson, IND: Raw prospect with huge athletic upside.

Tua Tagovailoa, MIA: Concussions cloud his long-term outlook.

Kyler Murray, ARI: ACL injury suffered 12/12/22. 2023 may be a lost season.

Bryce Young, CAR: Rookie has immediate path to start.

Daniel Jones, NYG: Coaching competence, rushing ability allowed Danny Dimes to
grab high-end QB2 value.

C.J. Stroud, HOU: QB2 production expected unless we see more rushing.

Kirk Cousins, MIN: Consistent 4000-yard passer. Has elite outside weapon.

Derek Carr, NO: Hard to see more than QB2 production moving forward.

Will Levis, TEN: Might not see the rookie in 2023.

Geno Smith, SEA: Impressive career rebound in 2022.

Kenny Pickett, PIT: Needs improvement. Never threw more than 1 TD pass in any
game last season.

Jordan Love, GB: Finally gets starting gig four years into career.

Jared Goff, DET: Pocket passer with low-rushing upside keeps him at mid-range
QB2 value.

Russell Wilson, DEN: Disastrous 2022 will keep his stock low.

Aaron Rodgers, NYJ: Finds a home in New York. Two years remaining?

Matthew Stafford, LAR: Despite health concerns, should be the Rams starter in
2023.

Brock Purdy, SF: 49ers have decisions make at QB.

Desmond Ridder, ATL: Got four games of work to close out 2022.

Sam Howell, WAS: QB competition with Brissett?

Mac Jones, NE: Offensive philosophy isn't going to allow Mac to shine.

Jimmy Garoppolo, LV: Starting gig in LV may not last past 2023.

Trey Lance, SF: Broken ankle in September. Will he start in 2023?

Baker Mayfield, TB: Keeping the QB seat warm in TB.

Sam Darnold, SF: SF quarterback situation is a question mark.

Jarrett Stidham, DEN: A continued slide by Russ could land Stidham a starting
gig in DEN. Does have rushing ability.

Ryan Tannehill, TEN: Unlikely to see full season as starter in 2023.

Jameis Winston, NO: Back and perhaps other issues are keeping Winston from
seeing the field.

Davis Mills, HOU: Not the answer as a starting QB.

Malik Willis, TEN: Didn't impress in 2022. Lost job late-season to Joshua
Dobbs.
