FIRE DEPARTMENT HISTORY

The first mention of a Liverpool Fire Department in the history of the community
is made in a January 1909 issue of the Medina County Gazette. An article in that
paper calls for 25 able-bodied men to form such a group.

TRAINING

Fire Department Training

Every Member of the department is responsible for attending training for
continuing education.

EMS Training

In the state of Ohio every EMT and Firefighter is required to complete a certain
number of hours of continuing education based on their certification level.

Fire Training

In the State of Ohio there are three levels of Firefighter certifications and
three levels of EMS certifications.

EMS Medical Direction

All EMS Agencies operate under a physician’s license, the physician must be
board certified in Emergency Medicine.
