DISEASE PREVENTION & CONTROL We protect the health of all San Franciscans. WHAT
WE DO

IT’S TIME FOR A FLU SHOT!

Everyone 6 months and older should get an influenza (flu) shot this year and
every year. The best way to prevent flu is to get the vaccine! Make an
appointment with your doctor or clinic today, visit your local pharmacy to get a
flu shot or visit www.sfcdcp.org/flushots for information on where to go for
free or low-cost flu shots. If you need to get your COVID booster or are looking
to get an RSV vaccine this year, you can get these vaccines at the same time!

CATCH UP ON CHECKUPS AND ROUTINE VACCINES FOR ADULTS AND CHILDREN!

Vaccines can prevent many infectious diseases. Most people know kids need
regular vaccines, but did you know that most adults are not aware that they also
need vaccines throughout their lives to protect against diseases like shingles,
pertussis, and hepatitis?

For children, well-child visits and check-ups are essential for routine
vaccination and summer is a great time to beat the crowd and get caught up on
vaccinations before school starts. Talk to your doctor to see if you or your
child are missing any vaccines, and for more information, visit:
