The Mysterious Spellbook Search Duplicate Try Notion THE MYSTERIOUS SPELLBOOK The old spellbook sat on a shelf, covered in dust. It had been forgotten for years until Jenny discovered it while cleaning out the attic. She blew off the dust and opened it, curious about its contents. Strange symbols and words were scrawled on the yellowed pages. As Jenny flipped through the book, one of the spells caught her eye. It was a simple spell that claimed to summon a magical creature. She read the instructions carefully, not believing that it would actually work. But her curiosity got the better of her, and she decided to give it a try. That night, Jenny waited until her family was asleep. She gathered the ingredients listed in the spell and set them up as instructed. At first, nothing happened. She felt silly for thinking a silly spell from an old book would work. Just as she was about to give up, there was a bright flash and a burst of smoke. A small dragon appeared before her, swirling its tail. Jenny froze in shock. The spell had actually worked! She had summoned a real, live dragon. Her heart raced as the dragon turned its gaze upon her. What was she going to do now? Jenny froze, her heart pounding, unsure of what to do. She knew she had to act fast before the dragon got angry. Thinking quickly, she said in a soothing voice, "There, there, little dragon, I mean you no harm. I just wanted to meet you." The dragon narrowed its eyes suspiciously. Jenny racked her brain, trying to remember what she had read about befriending dragons. "Would you like some gold coins?" she asked, remembering that dragons loved treasure. The dragon's eyes lit up greedily. "Yes, gold coins would please me," it said in a low, rumbling voice. Jenny breathed a sigh of relief that her plan had worked. At least she had made a friend. But now she had to figure out what to do with this dragon she had summoned!
