I remember being so in love with the “Blades of Grass” wallpaper from the Mac OS
X Leopard beta (supposedly a photo shot by Steve himself). It looked great with

i know everyone’s tired of talking meta level but i’m really happy that i
finally was able to cut over to posting just here. twitter felt pretty addictive
even this spring and summer. but as our app got less wonky and we added features

folks consuming from firehose: we are debugging a few distinct issues caused by
misconfigured rate-limits. 🧵 definitely some fraction of accounts created in
the past 8 hours were not having events go though, or as tooBig (meaning no
records on the firehose). roughly 20k accounts.

Good morning! Do you know who I'd need to contact after receiving a "Cannot
download Skate 3" error multiple times after trying to download the game on my
Xbox 360? It's the only game in my library that throws this error, including

As one part of the mitigation I put together a (currently very hacky)
non-archival relay, and got it up and running last night. During catchup it
briefly hit 42k events a second, and i think it had a lot more room to flex. For
comparison thats nearly 30x our current throughput.

Been going through ancient SNES savefiles containing info uploaded to the XBAND
online multiplayer servers at the end of the service in 1997 and I cannot
fucking believe I found an early version of this meme here. Is this what the guy

To be clear, we do have plans for scaling, we just kinda expected more than a
couple days notice before getting blasted with a million new users a day. The
team is rapidly deploying fixes and new software to adapt. More servers in the
mail.

Did you know if you do the command shutdown -t 0 -sg, it will shutdown your PC,
but also preserve the apps you'd had open before shutting down, so when you boot
your PC back up it will open them again? 👀

It is finally done. Our DDR SuperNOVA 2 is now ONLINE and currently the only
public arcade as such! Unfortunately our player 2 card reader is failing to take

Just learned about llmstxt.org. Imagine if LLMs had a full, up-to-date
documentation for a library one fetch away — that'd improve the quality of the
output (+ability to use the latest features!) by a ton. Hope we can get
Starlight / VitePress / Docusaurus integrations up soon to help promote it 👀

real hardware Original Xbox discord presence this uses the debug monitor so
requires either Cerbios, a devkit, or another debug BIOS, this does not work
with the typical NKPatcher-based softmods also Halo 2 crashes which is why i
never released it
