THIS LOVE

During our freshman year of college the Lord called us both to serve with a
college ministry called The Real Movement. Savannah was at Georgia Tech and Alex
was at Kennesaw State but luckily The Real Movement kept us busy enough that we
saw each other pretty often. Fast forward a few years, we both realized the
feelings we had for one another were not going away anytime soon. Many coffee
shop chats later, we decided to give dating a shot. Throughout the years, it has
been clear how the Lord had been shaping our lives individually so that He could
bring us together. We are grateful for the love we have between us and recognize
that it would not be the same if it weren't for the Lord's grace and love in our
lives.




THE PROPOSAL

At some point in our relationship, we adopted the tradition of Saturday walks at
Piedmont Park. When college and other obligations got tough, these days were our
special time to reconnect and talk about everything from our nerdy interests
like Star Wars to how we felt the Lord moving and working in our lives. When it
came time, Alex felt like Piedmont Park would be the most meaningful place to
propose. Recruiting our creative pals, Alex tricked Savannah into thinking we
were helping them create promotional content for their businesses. After a day
of taking pictures in different t-shirts and hoodies (shout out Bake and Skate),
we were asked to change into a nicer outfit for one last photo op. When Savannah
thought she was posing with her back to the camera, Alex pulled out the ring and
got down on one knee. After a lot of shock and many tears, we were greeted by a
bottle of champagne and all of our best friends and family. Having so many
people we love in one place has been one of the sweetest moments of our lives so
far and we can't wait to celebrate with all of you at the wedding!
