     PILOT SPORT 4S BUBBLE

Great tire unfortunately my right rear has developed a bubble shortly after
going over 6K miles. Other than the bubble no visible issues with the tire.
     The other three look fine.

     NOT FOR X5

Tried Pilot Sport 4S tires on staggered 20s on X5. Two fronts replaced due
to sidewall bubbles, another two replaced due to potholes, another due to
abnormal treadwear after "9 days" - does not like negative camber, and
lucky to get one season from rears. Never again!

COMPLETELY CHANGED THE DRIVING DYNAMIC OF MY BENZ

I’m always amazed at how tires can completely change the driving dynamic of
a car. When I purchased my Mercedes-Benz a year ago it came with the
original OEM run-flat tires which were absolutely horrible. They gave such
a harsh and noisy ride which one wouldn’t expect from a luxury car. However
after replacing all 4 tires with the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S it now drives
incredibly smooth and quiet. I feel like I have a brand new vehicle. This
is how I wanted it to drive from the beginning. The handling is more
predictable and solid. I even feel secure and sure-footed when driving in
the rain. The thought of trading it in for a newer model crossed my mind a
few times prior to getting the Michelin Pilot Sport 4S but now I’ve decided
to hold on to it because it drives so well!

STONES STICK IN THE TREAD AND DAMAGE THE TIRES

I replaced the tires with the All Season verison after 75 miles.

Tires pick up small stones and the stones leave holes in the tread when
     removed.

The all season version don't pick up stones and are perfect for street
     driving.

These are track tires and shouldn't be sold for street use.

A FANTASTIC PERFORMANCE TIRE THAT LASTS

My Model 3 Performance came equipped from the factory with PS4S tires. EVs
due to their high initial torque are known to wear through tires rather
quickly. The original set of these PS4S tires lasted 37,000 miles before
hitting the wear indicators. The second set lasted just over 57,000 miles.
Yes, 57,000 miles! I daily commute 230 miles on I-95 so yes my usage is
different than most other drivers. The interstate commute is probably 85%
my total driving, but the other 15% is in city, and I don’t “take it easy”
on my car. I check and adjust my tire pressures weekly, and check the
alignment every 6 months, which is part of what I attribute to this
exceptionally long tire life. I’ll be mounting up another set of PS4S tires
     today!

     NOT MEANT FOR DAILY DRIVING

I bought a used car with pretty new 4S tires on them. I've not had to
replace two front tires due to sidewall bubbles/tears from potholes. I know
when they occurred and this level of damage should not have happened to
these tires. By looking at the reviews, I can see I'm not the only one
saying this. At this point just say they are track day only tires.

     HORRIBLE TIRES FOR THE TRACK!

I take my '15 911 Turbo to the track 4-5 times a year. I drive in the
"advanced group" at these events. The 4Ss I purchase failed in 3 track
events. The outside edges of the tires delaminated to the cord! Michelin
would not honor their warranty, even though these tires are advertised for
     occasional use at the track.

>> The sizes shown are average design values for tires measured on specified
measuring rim widths. Some tires may vary from this value by +/-3% of the
section height (affecting overall diameter), and +/-4% of the section width.
>> Section width varies approximately 0.2" (5mm) for every 0.5" change in rim
width.
>> Tread patterns are often tuned to accommodate different tire widths. Tires
for a particular dimension of a given tireline may vary in appearance from the
tire shown in the photograph.

WARNING: Serious or fatal injury may result from tire failure due to
underinflation or overloading. To ensure correct air pressure and vehicle load,
refer to vehicle owner's manual or tire information placard on the vehicle.
Serious injury or death may result from explosion of tire/rim assembly due to
improper mounting. Only tire professionals should mount tires and they should
never inflate beyond 40 psi to seat the beads. Before mixing types of tires in
any configuration on any vehicle, be sure to check the vehicle owner's manual
for its recommendations.

DANGER: Never mount a 17" diameter tire on a 17.5" rim.

Inflation pressure increase must not exceed the maximum pressure branded on the
tire sidewall. When a customer requests a replacement tire with a lower speed
rating than the original equipment tire, you must clearly communicate to him or
her that the handling of the vehicle may be different, and that its maximum
speed capability is limited to that of the lowest speed-rated tire on the
vehicle. Exceeding the lawful speed limit is neither recommended nor endorsed.

For high-speed driving, additional inflation pressure and possibly reduced tire
loading and/or upsizing is required. In the absence of specific recommendations
by the vehicle manufacturer, use the following guidelines based on those in the
European Tire and Rim Technical Organization Standards Manual.

For speeds over 160km/h (100 mph), load and inflation must be adjusted according
to the table below.

(Y)-Speed Rated Sizes:

Maximum Speed (mph) 118 124 130 136 143 149 155 161 168 174 180 186
Inflation Increase (psi)    0    0    0    0 1.5 3 4.5 6 7.5 7.5 7.5 7.5
Load Capacity (% of max) 100 100 100 100 100 100 100 100 100 95 90 85

For speeds above 186 mph (300 kph), consult your vehicle manufacturer and tire
dealer. For speeds above 186 mph (300 kph), consult your vehicle manufacturer and
