NOTICE OF INTENT – PROPOSED INCREASE 

WATER AND WASTEWATER RATES, FEES, OR SERVICE CHARGES

Pursuant to A.R.S. § 9-511.01, the Town of Wickenburg provides Notice of Intent
to adopt utility rate adjustments as outlined in the Town’s Water and Wastewater
Utility Rate Study prepared by GHD and supplemented by Technical Memorandum
dated October 17, 2023 (the “Report”). The increased rates, fees, or service
charges are related to increasing the water and wastewater rates for System 2.

This Notice of Intent is scheduled to be heard by the Town Council at its
meeting on September 16, 2024, at 5:30 p.m. The Town will then hold a public
hearing on November 18, 2024, at 5:30 p.m., for public comment. After the public
hearing on November 18, 2024, the Town Council may adopt the rates, fees, or
charges. All meetings will be held at 155 N. Tegner Street, Suite A, Wickenburg,
Arizona.

A copy of this Notice will be posted on the Town’s website with the report, data
supporting fee schedule changes, and cash flow projections at least thirty days
prior to the public hearing.

If approved by Council, the rates will become effective on January 1, 2025, and
annually adjust thereafter as specified in any phased fee schedule approved by
the Council. 

A copy of the Report, data supporting changes to the Town’s fee schedule, and
cash flow projections may be reviewed at the office of the Town Clerk, at 155 N.
Tegner Street, Suite A, Wickenburg during normal office hours, Monday through
Thursday, 7:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. 

Persons wishing to comment on the proposed changes may do so, in writing, prior
to the meeting on November 18, 2024, or may testify in person at the meeting.
The Town Council may adopt any of the water and wastewater rates, fees, or
service charges at the meeting.
