OBITUARY: CHARLES "CHUCK" HAWKS

A huge thank you to all of the wonderful folks who have taken the time to send
very heartfelt and much appreciated messages of condolence.
Chuck was a special man and he will be missed by all of us. It is our hope that
the continuation of his website will help to keep alive all of the enthusiasm he
held for the subjects so near and dear to his heart. We hope you join us in this
desire.

Chuck Hawks was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer February, 2019. He was
given 6 weeks to live. He decided he would go to battle with the cancer. Luckily
with the help of his two oncologists, he lived 2 years, 6 months beyond his
original diagnosis. One of the side effects of chemotherapy was neuropathy which
effected his ability to type or write his articles for his Website. His
inability to continue to write articles was one of the most difficult parts of
his battle during the last years.

Chuck wanted his Website to continue after he passed. In his Will, he requested
that his Website be transferred to Randy Wakeman, (Plainfield, IL) a contributor
of articles to the Website as a specific gift. Randy Wakeman has agreed to
accept this gift and manage the Website. 

Randy Wakeman will be following up with new information about the Website and
answer any questions you have regarding the future Website. You can contact him
at randymagic@aol.com .

On behalf of my cousin, Chuck Hawks, I want to thank all of the subscribers who
learned from and appreciated the exceptional expertise that Chuck had of guns
and shooting and his desire to share it with others to help educate them. Chuck
would have been humbled over all the tributes you sent. I, like all his
life-long friends miss him so much but knowing that his Website will still be
available is the legacy of his knowledge.
