WHAT IS AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL?

Air Traffic Control manages traffic in the sky. When it works, aircraft can get
in and out of airports on time. When it doesn’t work, you get ATC “capacity”
restrictions which causes multiple flight delays and/or cancellations.

Despite ATC fees rising 21% pre Covid, European ATC service levels have
declined. There isn’t enough staff trained and rostered, especially at weekends,
leading to “restrictions” for aircraft wanting to take off & land.
