* INFORMATIONAL MEETING SET FOR OPEN BOARD OF EDUCATION POSITIONS
Blue Valley patrons interested in learning about running for a seat on the
Board of Education are invited to attend an informational meeting at 6:30
p.m. on Thursday, April 20. Four Board of Education positions will be up for
election in November.

* LAST DAY OF SCHOOL ANNOUNCED
Last day of school for 2022-23 school year will be a half-day on 5/26 for
grades K-11. Early childhood will have last day on 5/25.

* BOARD APPROVES 2024-25 CALENDAR
The Board of Education approved the 2024-25 school year calendar at the March
board meeting. The calendar was created with feedback from staff and
families.
Highlights of the calendar include a week-long Thanksgiving Break and the
school year coming to an end prior to Memorial Day. The calendar is available
on the district website.

Blue Valley voters have endorsed the bond election 70.69% percent to 29.31%
percent. The $251,250,000 bond will invest in facilities, safety and
technology that will benefit students and staff for years to come.

Niche’s 2023 Best Schools in America rankings confirm that Blue Valley and
its teachers continue to be the best in the state, region and county. The
district and its teachers topped Best School District and District with the
Best Teachers lists for Kansas, the Kansas City area and Johnson County. In
addition, the district was named one of the top 100 Best School Districts in
America coming in at #69.
