The Lewisham Job Shop Day, held at Lewisham Shopping Centre, aimed to encourage more people to work in the NHS. Careers advisers were on hand to talk to people about the different opportunities available to them in the healthcare sector. Job Shop co-ordinator Julie Vouillemin said: "People tend to just think about nurses and doctors but they do not realise there are a whole range of jobs. "We want to raise awareness and give people more information on the opportunities in the NHS." The annual Job Shop was supported by a number of agencies, including Lewisham Council and the Lewisham NHS Trust. To find out more about a career in the NHS, call 0845 60 60 655.
