HEALTHY INTEREST IN JOBS

Johannah Preethy and Julie Vouillemin discuss jobs available in the NHS
LC1085-02

THE next generation of health workers found out more about their potential
career path during an information day.

The Lewisham Job Shop Day, held at Lewisham Shopping Centre, aimed to encourage
more people to work in the NHS.

Careers advisers were on hand to talk to people about the different
opportunities available to them in the healthcare sector.

Job Shop co-ordinator Julie Vouillemin said: "People tend to just think about
nurses and doctors but they do not realise there are a whole range of jobs.

"We want to raise awareness and give people more information on the
opportunities in the NHS."

The annual Job Shop was supported by a number of agencies, including Lewisham
Council and the Lewisham NHS Trust.

To find out more about a career in the NHS, call 0845 60 60 655.
