Announcing new Microsoft policies for exam no-shows and exam registrations

Hello Alexander Zhang,
Your organization has partnered with the Microsoft Enterprise Skills Initiative
(ESI) to support your learning journey, and that includes access to Microsoft
Certification exams. Two new exam policies become effective on January 16, 2023.
 * No-shows. To help ensure that all learners who want to earn Microsoft
Certifications have the opportunity to take the associated exams, Microsoft
has updated its exam no-show policy—that is, the policy for learners who
register for a certification exam but do not take it at the scheduled time.
Learners who miss any scheduled exams in a rolling 180-day period are
required by a Microsoft Certification exam partner to pay a refundable
deposit when they schedule their next one. If they miss the rescheduled exam
without canceling or rescheduling within 24 hours of the exam date, they will
forfeit the deposit. The deposit can be as much as USD99 (credit card
required) and may vary by country or region. Upon completion of the
rescheduled exam, the partner will refund the deposit, in accordance with its
terms and conditions (usually within five to seven business days).
 * Exam cap. Microsoft has capped—at two—the number of exams that a learner can
have scheduled, whether on the same day or on separate days. As the ESI
Training Program Managers point out, learners can have a better chance at
success and can improve their focus when they only have a couple of exams
scheduled at once. As an ESI learner, you can always schedule another
certification exam after each one you take or cancel. This also helps to make
   space for other learners.

On January 16, 2023, as a result of these new policies, there will be a one-time
cancellation of all scheduled exam registrations for learners who have missed
three or more scheduled exams. If this applies to you, expect to receive a
notification email for each cancellation. To schedule exams that you are sure
you can attend, go to the ESI Learner Experience Portal (LxP) and select the
Microsoft Certifications tile. Remember that you can only have two exams
scheduled.
Microsoft Virtual Training Days vouchers
In March 2023, Microsoft is removing the free certification voucher from the
Microsoft Virtual Training Days fundamentals sessions. ESI learners can still
take free fundamentals certification exams by signing up for them from the LxP
Microsoft Certifications tile. This applies to all fundamentals certification
exams except for Exam MS-700: Managing Microsoft Teams and Exam PL-900:
Microsoft Power Platform Fundamentals.
Microsoft Certification exam reminders
As always, when scheduling a Microsoft Certification exam, keep in mind that:
 * You can use exam preparation resources in the LxP to prepare for the exam and
to help you feel confident and ready to take it.
 * If you have a scheduling conflict or are not quite ready, you can easily
reschedule or cancel your exam registration at aka.ms/examreschedule. Be sure
to do this at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment.
 * If your role-based or specialty certification is expiring soon, you do not
need to retake an exam to renew it. Just pass a free assessment on Microsoft
Learn—anytime within six months before your certification expires.

Thank you for your attention to the new policies.
