Pronounced "shoe" 👟
A wizard turning ideas and emotions into music

I'm a musician of 30+ years and a recently turned full time music maker after
finishing a 15 year career in teaching high school mathematics and music. This
is the showcase of my video game music composition and sound design work.


🎸 I'm a multi-instrumentalist that plays synths, guitars, drums, and a wide
array of other instruments like electronic wind instruments, Chinese erhu,
Otamatone, Glockenspiel, auto-tuned vocals, etc. Ableton is my go to DAW, and
the Synthstrom Deluge is my livelooper of choice. Check out my Twitch channel to

🎵 80's and 90's era video game music was the soundtrack of my childhood and a
major source of  inspiration. In my VGM compositions, I strive to make
expressive and emotional songs that enhance my audiences feelings as it's synced
to the game experience. My musical influences include composers like Koji Kondo
(Super Mario Bros, Legend of Zelda), Nobou Uematsu (Final Fantasy) and Darren
Korb (Bastion, Transistor).


♟️Aside from music, I'm also a big fan of table top board games, coffee, vegan
cooking, home fitness, philosophy, and travel. 


🎮 Current Quest: Music and sound design for Robot Arena Survivors


🔮 VGM goals: I hope to learn the dev skills to develop and score innovative and
engaging rhythm games.
