of a long post so please bear with me. Not sure if you are still looking for
answers to your query above, but just thought I'd share my experience. I've been
a long time MediaPortal user, and my MP setup was on a Shuttle XPC, running
Windows 7, MP v1.10.0. I have a Hauppauge HVR-3000 PCI Hybrid tuner card
installed in the XPC, and it worked fine in MP. I've also managed to install and
use XBMC/Kodi as my HTPC Front End with TV-Server as the PVR backend. I also
have a couple of Macs (iMacs and Macbook Pro), and installed XBMC/Kodi on the
Mac and connecting to my XPC PVR backend, that worked.

A little while ago, I had to spend a lot of time away from home (no direct
connection to my XPC), and as such purchased an Elgato EyeTV Diversity for
watching DVB-T TV on my Macbook Pro while I was away from home. That again,
worked fine - it is independent from my MP setup and has got nothing to do with
MP. Recently, and only thought about it recently, I decided to try and see if I
can get the EyeTV to work with MP, as I always thought Elgato products are made
for Macs and they didn't have PC support. To my surprise, when I Googled this
matter, I found out that Elgato do have Windows drivers for the EyeTV USB tuner
sticks, which will work with Windows 7 and Windows 8. I downloaded the drivers,
installed it, and got it recognised in my Windows 7 system. When I subsequently
fired up TV Server configuration, I found that the EyeTV is now listed as one of
the available tuners in TV Server too.

I mamage to scan for channels via that tuner, and am happy to report that I
managed to set it up as an additional tuner on my TV Server. As an added bonus,
because I have the EyeTV Diversity, it is effectively 2 tuners in one, and is
recognised as such in TV Server. Together my the Hauppauge HVR-3000 card in the
shuttle, I now have 3x independent TV tuners. I have tested it - watching a
programme, recording another, and using XBMC/Kodi on my Mac to stream remotely
yet another program. All works - granted my XPC is struggling to cope but I
believe that is because of the prosessing power of the PC and nothing to do with
TV Server. So, if summary, whilst the product you mentioned above it slightly
different, I think it could work given my experience. Hope this helps.

Hi All, I just picked up a s/u EyeTV Diversity USB tuner to hopefully go with
this Mini when it becomes a media box. However, the software CD that came with
it just says 'eyeTV' and appears to be V1.8.2 and worse, doesn't seem to offer
support for this particular stick? You can upgrade via download to V1.8.2 but
that doesn't seem to help. Neither asked for the registration number (which I
have on a card). So, is it likely I've been given the wrong software? They
suggested it was 'a couple of years old' so was it V1.8 then? I thought I'd ask
here first.

This Elgato EyeTV Hybrid TV Tuner is a great tuner. If you have a PC, you can
use Windows Media Center as your software for free. If you have Apple computer
or tablet, you will use the eyeTV software for $20/year.

Forearmed etc.;-) FWIW, Linux Mint seems to have picked it up automagically and
with the addition of Me-TV it does seem to work at least. I also have the
drivers for W7 as it appears to be a 'Hauppauge WinTV Nova TD Stick DVB'.

Under OSX 10.6 it sees it as a 'NovaT 500Stick'. From the elgato site it would
appear mine is the '2007 edition'. Thanks for any advice or suggestions.;-)

So, I now think (hope) they may have put the wrong CD in the box? Funnily
enough, there is a card that says just 'EyeTV' that has ~26 digit code on it and
another on the CD sleeve that says 'Cinergy T2 Activation Key' (with a different
code)? The box, Quick start guide and everything else seems to relate to the
Diversity.

I have used the LG external DVD-RW drive to read a CD-ROM, play a music CD, play
a video DVD and write a DVD-RW. All worked as advertised.

On my Windows 7 computer, I used the drive without installing the included
software (on a CD-ROM) and was able to play music, video DVD and write a DVD-RW.
On my Windows 8 computer played a music CD, installed the included software via
a CD-ROM and tried to watch a (legal, US) video DVD and could not even with the
included software.

This is because I don't have any video DVD software to play the video. My Win 8
computer came without a DVD drive, thus no software, and the included CD-ROM
does not include any software to play video DVD's. I am able to play MPEG4 files
of videos I recorded, but no DVD videos. Finally, the drive is light-weight and
slim, slightly larger than the thicker CD/DVD cases. It has no power
cord/charger as it gets power from the USB port on the computer.

I prefer it that way as there are fewer cords to get in the way. This drive
worked well and played the CD's/DVD's without a problem. I was using Windows
8.1. However the software was an issue. I could not uninstall anything. The
software kept putting my computer in a loop when trying to uninstall.

is something wrong with the software. I had to go to Microsoft and trouble shoot
then download special software to remove the software that came with this drive.

something wrong with the software that comes with this drive therefore I cannot
