DO I NEED TO HIRE A TRADEMARK ATTORNEY?

You can... or you don't have to. You don't have to be an attorney to apply for
trademark registration through the USPTO. This course will enable you to
complete the entire process without one.

That's what people who took this course have done. Instead of paying $1,500 for
an attorney for each trademark, they filed it themselves. 

But if you choose to hire one, that's great too. This course is going to give
you incredible knowledge about intellectual property and the trademarking
process. And if you decide to hire an attorney, you'll be a far more
sophisticated consumer of IP attorney services.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO REGISTER A TRADEMARK?

It depends. If you go the regular Standard Route, it costs $275 per class. If
you go with the Plus version, it can be as little as $225 per class.  This
course shows you how easy it is to do the Plus version - and thereby save quite
a few dollars!

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO GET A TRADEMARK?

Well, first off, the appropriate phrase is this: How long will it take for me to
be granted a registered trademark?

So... there you go. You may have learned something new without even buying
anything.

Back to the question. It's really a two-parter.  One part is in your hands, the
other in the USPTO - the United States Patent Trademark Office.

How long will it take me to apply for a registered trademark?
It depends. Once you have all of your documents in order, applying on the USPTO
system could take as little as 15-20 minutes. To get your documents in order
- it could take you a couple hours to a week. 


How long will it take the USPTO to grant the registered trademark once I apply?
What is the timeline to get a trademark?
If everything is in order, you could have your registered trademark in hand in
about 6 months from the date of application. If you have some back-and-forth
with the USPTO, it could take longer - maybe 8-12 months. To be clear, most of
that time is spent with you not doing anything... just waiting on the process.

HOW DO I DETERMINE IF I NEED TO REGISTER FOR MORE THAN ONE TRADEMARK CLASS?

The Trademark Classification system is how the USPTO organizes its trademarks.
Classes would be things like Sporting Goods & Toys or Computer Software or Food
or Business Services or Education Services. You could be granted a trademark in
one class and someone else could have the same trademark in another class. As
long as they're not conflicting or confusing... you would simply co-exist.

Wondering which classes you should be thinking about with your online products?
Don't worry! This course will give you everything you need to know when it comes
to Trademark Classes. Soon, you will be an absolute expert on Trademark
Classification. And more importantly, you'll know exactly in which class(es)
you'll want to apply for trademark registration.

Yes. No. Maybe?

Here's the thing. The information you learn in this course will make you a more
sophisticated consumer of your attorney's services.

Your attorney is not going to teach you what you learn in this course. One
attorney told me that the information in this course is worth about $10,000 in
attorney fees. But, let's be real, no one would ever pay that to an attorney,
because most attorneys will never teach you how to do what they get paid to do.

When your attorney requests documents (aka specimens), you'll know what to
produce.

When your attorney asks what your service entails, you'll know exactly what to

right answer... the first time.

If you're looking to save money by having someone do it for you cheaply, that's
great. Make it even less expensive by understanding what your attorney will need
