The cars are in perfect condition. Absolutely all the functions I needed in the car were available and working properly. Rarity. The contract clearly spells out all the terms and conditions and insurance liability. Received quickly and was able to give the car back without any problems. Cool! Very cool! UNAWARE OF DOUBLE EXTRA COSTS. I am an inexperienced car renter but travel to Broome once a year. This time decided to rent a car rather rely on others. Booked through Broome Airport Rentals not realising they are third party to Europcar. Charged insurance and a deposit which I haven’t seen returned yet. Extra cost that I wasn’t made aware of ! At Europcar counter was charged additional costs from original quote ending twice as much as first quoted. When given keys not advised I would need the passcode to get back into airport parking. Also it would be helpful if the customer service officer advised the renter how to open the fuel cap!!!! I understand the fuel cap openers on each car is different BUT how hard is it to train your staff so they can be helpful to customers with these simple but time consuming issues at the petrol station. I was really excited about having my own car and being independent and this experience with both Broome Airport Rentals and Europcar extremely disappointing. I must book another provider on arrival, and obviously, I must pay a much higher rate for immediate booking! What a service! Plus, the anxiety of finding a replacement at the last minute. I called him upon arrival at Sydney Airport. He said he was sorry. He would close in a few minutes but could arrange an after-hours pick-up. However, he did not arrange an after-hours pick-up! We spoke at 3.45 pm on 0283551933 before leaving Melbourne; I told him my late arrival at 5.30 pm. I confirmed that I was inside the airplane, waiting immediately to fly. It is outside my control. So he knows that I am seriously flying and coming. To my surprise 1. he said I could have arranged an after-hour booking, but he did not!!!, Just simply a lack of courtesy or interest in his customer care 2, The booking confirmation indicated that opening hours are Mon to Sun: 4.30 am to 10.30 pm. That is Obviously not the case. Never again use this service!! Asking for a refund of my deposit.
