DIRECTING ENERGY PERFORMANCE

The Carbon and Energy Fund (CEF) is a framework provider for the public sector
that works with member NHS trusts and local authorities to deliver improvement
across aging energy assets and infrastructure – resulting in positive impact
environmentally, operationally and in the community.

By creating the right net-zero scheme for each estate, we enable member
organisations to move from targets to practical action.

MEETING EVER-CHANGING NEEDS

Countess of Chester Hospital, through the CEF as its appointed service provider,
provides a framework to UK public bodies that become members of the CEF,
enabling them to source energy and energy management services from experienced
suppliers under a standard performance contract.

WORKING TOGETHER

CEF builds close working relationships with estates, capital projects and
finance teams – assuring alignment from the outset and streamlining progress.

MAKING THINGS EASIER

Call on our expertise to help simplify decision making processes across multiple
stakeholder groups.

SUPPORTING PROGRESS

We can support NHS trusts through the complexities of obtaining local authority
planning and statutory authority approvals.

OUR APPROACH

By orchestrating the entire design, procurement, installation and monitoring
process, the CEF experience guarantees greater performance than projects managed
by councils or NHS trusts alone .

Developed over 20 years and proven in practice, our unique CEF Energy
Performance Contract assures results for the lifetime of the project, directed
along three parallel streams: Securing Project Capital, Design & Deliver and
Maintain & Monitor.
