This app doesn't help users quit smoking cannabis at all. If anything, I'm
higher now than I was before I downloaded this.

This app is very easy to use. I know that I can go at my own pace and even when
I don’t feel like putting in the work to change my thought pattern, I can still
time in to listen to a session. Then I might do a very short quiz. Sometimes I
look forward to doing the questions that I have to actually think about. It
eases me into the work that for some reason o am initially afraid to do. Love,
love, love.

Don’t download this people will steal your money their 3 day trial period is not
a trial period they just bill without your consent 3 months and then when you
try to fight it they send you to Apple which automatically tells you they can’t
issue a refund and because you don’t time or at least that was my case you cease
in your attempt. The chat support is the worst they answer in 2 hours so is
better to have a friend - Don’t download you have been warned !

I’ve been cigarette free for 8 days now and I was going to try to use this app
to keep track of my progress. Until I realized I can’t even get into it because
it costs money. Isn’t one of the points of quitting to save money? Lol. There’s
plenty of apps out there that are free and show the benefits each day without
smoking a cigarette. No thanks. Bad app

I was really excited while reading about this app, but their payment plan setup
is incredibly overpriced and sneaky...they offer a three day trial, but you’re
obviously not going to quit smoking in 3 days, so you pay the 20 dollars, fine.
But, whether successful in quitting or not, people will inevitably forget the
app ever existed after a month or so, while the contract gives the company
permission to continue charging every three months indefinitely. Clearly, these
men are intelligent and knowledgeable about how people think, and they used
those skills to craft a very efficient means of getting as much money out of
people as possible. I believe your response above that you are trying to raise
funds for the project, which is admirable, but that doesn’t excuse dishonesty.

I’ve tried the gum, the patches, e cigs, cold turkey, and everything else there
is. Longest I ever made it nicotine free was maybe 3 months. I stumbled upon
Quit Genius, and now I’m going strong on month 6 without even a drag. Didn’t
think an iPhone app could possibly do it, but this has been a gamechanger. Thank
you.

(But we want your money even more than that, so we don’t care if you continue to
smoke or not as long as you give us your money) Don’t let these weasels try and
slough off their bad reviews by releasing a new version of the app with minimal
changes. Taking advantage of addicted people at their weakest is the abhorrent
practice of monsters. This app is greedy, weaselly nonsense and basically a
glorified PowerPoint presentation and checklist that you need to pay to unlock
more slides and unchecked boxes. Something like this could be easily monetized
via unobtrusive ads but instead slimy in-app purchases are what they went with.
It is disgusting marketing this money hole as a medical self-help program. My
response: I know you’re lying to defend your income stream because you didn’t
say “you’re right, I realize we have been using predatory behavior to take
advantage of vulnerable people; we have eliminated the paid in-app
subscription/purchase model and made everything free so as to help the maximum
number of people”. I encourage anyone who actually wants to quit smoking to look
into actual methods that work like nicotine gum, patches, switching to a
vaporizer, or prescription methods under the care of actual doctors and not
shovelware thieves. Your mothers and sisters are soiled by your dishonest
business practices and you should be ashamed of yourselves.

I really loved this app when I first got it. It’s so different than any other
smoking cessation app I’ve used, and the different steps make it feel sorta like
a game. The only incredibly annoying and frustrating thing is that for some
reason, when I updated the app, all of my previously logged entries were gone. I
put a lot of effort into responding to the little questions on each step and I’m
really not trying to do all of that again. The new update itself is really great
and improved on literally everything that was a little off in the version before
it. I’d give it 5 stars if the inconvenience of losing all my data wasn’t so
huge.

This app is the smartest way to try quitting I have seen so far. It makes you
reflect on why you smoke. There is no pressure, just common sense. After trying
unsuccessfully to quit smoking for over 10 years, I feel this app may actually
help me.

All it allows you is to have a 7 day free trial. The description of the app
explains that there is a "premium subscription" — well, you can only have a
"premium subscription" if at least a tiny bit of the product is free. It's
misleading. Also, the price is downright pathetic, honestly. Even if you guys
wanted to have a PRICY app, since, as you guys said earlier, you left your day
jobs to focus on this project, a ONE-TIME payment of 9,99 would be MORE THAN
ENOUGH. Most people would pay for it, and you guys would get a whole lot of
money. But, with this ridiculous subscription method, you pay a lot and don't
get to own the app. If you stop smoking and then relapse just a bit, you have to
pay again. If you want to stay smoke-free after stopping, you have to keep
paying. It's shameful. Aren't you guys ashamed of saying that your goal is to
HELP people (who, being desperate to stop, pay this absurd amount of cash)? Just
go and say: we want to get every penny out of our clients. That would be fair.
Geez.

Super useful app but they started forcing users to start a trial to even open
the app. Drop the paywall and encourage more community engagement. “Free” users
will pay for themselves by helping to build the community up. The data has
value. Active users have value. Once you’re big enough sell it to insurance
companies for whatever you want.

I liked the first level and was looking forward to using it to quit, but I
upgraded and it doesn’t give me access to level 2. Maybe it’s a glitch but I
emailed support and got no response... Edited to add: it took a few days, but I
was contacted and got the app fixed! It’s very useful and works by helping you
change your thoughts about smoking. Cravings and withdrawals are minimal!

I’ve tried quitting smoking many ways (nicotine patch, gum, ecigs, cold turkey).
This is the ONLY method that has stuck. It utilizes CBT (Cognitive Behavior
Therapy) to help you analyze and reevaluate your smoking patterns. After
completing the FREE first section, I paid for the subscription—Worth eVeRy
penny. I love how quick and easy the program is. My favorite element is the
Cravings Tool Box (perfect when you think you might slip up). I’ve always craved
cigarettes when drinking alcohol, and now I know why—Better understanding the
chemical interactions and how they trigger my brain is so helpful! 10/10 would
definitely recommend

Realizing how our emotions are so intertwined with starting and continuing to
smoke definitely helps when trying to quit a habit which is so ingrained within
our daily emotional roller coaster. Probably the best app I’ve ever seen by

Seems promising but... The app is broken on my 6S. I purchased the three month
subscription but the app just freezes when I’m trying to unlock the paid
content. Haven’t received support yet from when I emailed hours ago. Wish it

This app is such a great tool! I love that the developers have based it on CBT
theory and I think that is just so helpful. I’ve tried quitting dozens of times
and with the help of this app I feel confident that this time is my final time!!

I enjoyed this app! Until it wouldn’t let me look at anything until I said okay
to a 7 day free trial that I was just going to cancel anyway, but it ended up
charging me for a whole year right away! I would love to have my money back in
my account and use it on things I could actually use please!

Didn’t get very far at all using this app. It’s free to download and then you
almost immediately have pay to use and I’ve seen a lot of really bad quit
smoking apps. Not going to pay and then be disappointed.

I really like this app. But here are little bugs here and there. One of the bug
I noticed is scrolling text. It would reposition to the top of the text. Also, I
had to do some of the exercises over because I updated. Other than bugs I think
this is an interesting approach for quitting.

What a scam! With a price tag like that it is very clear money is their only
concern. It’s an app, I could see the price being up to about 25 bucks, but 70
and you don’t even own the app... What a joke! It is nothing more than all the
free apps I’ve seen repackaged into something fancier looking. I doubt there is
any method or information in this app that you can’t find on truth.org

They masquerade as a do goosing charity but really just want your personal
information and your money. Steer clear, plenty of legitimately free options for

This app definitely works, I finally quit smoking after trying all different
types of things like 1,000 times, but what makes it work, at least for me, is
paying for the premium so you get access to a quit coach. Having someone to chat
at, and be held accountable to, when you’re craving is waaaay better than the
exercises, although they are good too. Premium is kind of expensive, like $40
for 3 months, but cheaper than smoking! And your quit coach gives you customized
guidance and advice on how to handle your specific situations. It’s really nice
to feel like you have someone in your corner in the fight against smoking. If
you don’t want to pay the $40 then just try the app. It’s still super good. But,
if you can swing it get the premium because it makes it so much easier.

If the smoke diary is so important why is it so hard to find? When entering cigs
smoked, is the scrolling number gauge supposed to be the first, second, third
etc cig smoked or am I to choose the number of cigarettes smoked in one
situation? I would think the diary might give me a clue to this but where the
h*** can i view the diary? Why can’t I start over? Am I supposed to do all the
cards in one day or am I supposed to do them one each day?

I do appreciate that there is really some sort of study and i can see how much

This made me so mad, it’s not even funny. It walked me through setting up a
profile and I was super excited. Then I get to the screen that has me select my
plan. Some people are desperate enough that they’ll pay $149.99 for a lifetime
membership to this criminal of an app because smoking has destroyed their life
to a degree that they’ll do anything. “Or you can try the First Stage for free.”
Thanks for the crumb, better hope I have $13.99 after my first stage in fighting
off addiction. I read in a reply to one of your reviews that you quit your full
time job as a doctor to do this app full time. Well yeah, if I had no heart and
could make the same as a doctor off of desperate people without even leaving my
house, I’d do it to. You could have chosen to run in app adds, but you decided
not to. I have a copy of this review saved, don’t think refreshes and bug fix

I can’t believe people are complaining about paying $3 a month to quit smoking!
Is that not worth it? How much is a pack of cigarettes in YOUR town? (In
Chicago, they’re over $10!!) I suspect that those who don’t want to pay for the
app really don’t want to quit smoking anyway and are using it as an excuse. And
that’s fine! There are plenty of “free” quit smoking apps out there. Personally,
it looks like a great app. I like the interface, the community, etc., and $3 a
month is a small price to pay for the benefits I want to have as a non-smoker.
I’m in!

So... this “free app” is nothing but an advertisement for the paid version of
the app... plenty of actually free quitting apps. I would’ve loved to have
actually gone through this and done the mindfully “finding myself” thing but
it’s not worth $60 a year. Plenty of other choices with an actually community of
people going through the same thing to give advice and help you on your way.

You should never have to pay any type of fee to quit smoking, I’m sure this is
very beneficial to many users but the fact that you’re paying for the service
doesn’t sit right with me.

I’ve smoked for 44 years, and I’m now on my 8th day of not smoking. Previously
I’ve tried quitting, but without any preparation. Going through the Quit Genius
program made me aware of the reasons I have had problems before. As for the cost
of the in-app purchase, savings from not smoking paid that in 3 days.

I had such high hopes for this app! Especially since it was Apple recommend. I
was neither impressed not disappointed with the free stage, but it was a lot of
reading I scrolled through, and was kind of hoping the smoking “diary” would of
had more options, and been more through. I quit smoking cold turkey when I
became pregnant and thought I’d never smoke again. Obviously not the case, so
for me finding out what triggers me to crave the cigarette would be an effective
way to fight it. I also have received 50+ emails asking me to sign up for
premium in 24 hours. And when I hit unsubscribe, I am taken to the main website,
where there is no link I have been able to locate to unsubscribe. Irritating!

Looks promising but free version only takes you through most initial preparatory
stage and leaves you hanging just as introspective progress starts to build...
can't continue journey unless a monthly subscription is paid. Useful only if you
are prepared right away to make a financial commitment. Of no use if only the
free version is started.

Stage one barely scratches the surface of quitting (you don’t even get to set a
quit date yet). They then offer you two tiers of subscriptions to access all
stages, with the silver option being marked as $2 per month. Of course, as soon
as you click to pay, you see in tiny text on the Apple Pay screen that it’s
really “$6 for 3 months”. I would have gladly paid $6, just don’t try to deceive
me.

Other alternatives that actually offer a free app. Not one of this style where
you supposedly quit within the first stage as they claim on other reviews. Can

It’s tough to quit, it’ll always be the first to admit but you’d think someone
out there would think to help people who already have spent way to much on
smoking. This is an app with subscription service. Thought it would be “doctors”

Counselor and I see asking people to invest financially as well as effort makes
them more invested. Some treatment is free and it’s not about making money -
it’s about how much more motivated we as humans are when we’re paying for
something. We use it because we “want our moneys worth” Stop complaining and
looking for an excuse to keep smoking. I’ll pay $2 a month all day long - that’s
about the cost of my morning smoke sessions!

After getting excited to think I might give this app a try i was super bummed to
see it actually isn’t free. I was even more bummed to see it isn’t even a
one-time purchase. Nice little deceptive trick, Doctors. Yep, you have to pay
every month folks. There’s probably a free alternative out there and I would
recommend looking at those options. This sort of seems like trading one
addiction for another These doctors are looking to hit the lottery with this
app, and they’ve built this app around taking your money. Be careful. Also, the
app isn’t designed for the 12.9” iPad. There’s black bars and image quality is
lacking.

I started using this product with my 4 roomies a few weeks ago. We’ve all been
around a pack a day smokers for 3-5 years now and have all struggled with
quitting. We made a resolution as house mates to cut it out collectively this
year as our New Years resolution. We’ve all been using the app with great
success!

App is “free” and then tries to sell you progress. That’s trading one addiction
(nicotine) for another (gambling). Was unable to unsubscribe and now these guys
got my email. Yeesh.

I quit using quit Genius. After I tried the free portion I new that It was worth
it to pay for the full version—and it was quite reasonable, really. I used
another app, but I was confident knowing that QG was backed up by science and
supported by doctors and psychologists. I’ve been quit for over a month now and
I have no desire for a cig. I’m telling everyone I know about it.

Love this app. Have been pushing my mom to quit smoking most of my life. She

This app is very easy to use and well designed. The fact that is was created by
actual doctors puts it head and shoulders over the other gimmicky apps that

Charging in subscriptions is just pathetic. There's no reason to do this. This
isn't a service - it's an app. It's deceiving. Do as most other reasonable apps
out there: have a simple lite/free version, and charge the full version as an
in-app purchase. Even if it costs me 5 dollars or more, at least the app is
MINE. What a waste.

I began account & tracking, asked to create a log. After exiting app, couldn’t
get back in for it to work again. No issues with other apps or phone... Not too
genius. Deleted app. Bummer.

(But we want your money even more than that, so we don’t care if you continue to
smoke or not as long as you give us your money) This app is greedy, weaselly
nonsense and basically a glorified PowerPoint presentation and checklist that
you need to pay to unlock more slides and unchecked boxes. Something like this
could be easily monetized via unobtrusive ads but instead slimy in-app purchases
are what they went with. It is disgusting marketing this money hole as a medical
self-help program.

Installed the app and opened it up. I created an account and as soon as I
submitted my info I get prompted that section 1 is free and I’ll need to “buy” a
subscription for other sections. No thanks. Plenty of other free apps. If it was
$1.99 or $2.99 I’d happily pay the one time price. But I’m not going to pay per
month to use the app. Deleted.

It’s Too involved and analytic to assist me in stopping smoking. Using it
actually enticed me to want to have a cigarette.
