UHI COMMUNITYCARE CLINIC PROVIDES FREE HEALTH CARE TO THE UNINSURED AND
UNDER-SERVED MEMBERS OF OUR COMMUNITY. IN ADDITION TO CLINICAL SERVICES, UHI HAS
ACTIVE PROGRAMS TO DEVELOP FUTURE HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS AND LEADERS, PROVIDE
COMMUNITY EDUCATION, AND HELP WITH RESEARCH INTO UNDERSTANDING THE EVER-CHANGING
NEEDS OF OUR COMMUNITY.

CLINICAL SERVICES

UHI offers comprehensive, high-quality healthcare for those who cannot afford
medical insurance.

RESEARCH

UHI works with various organizations to provide vital research data about
minorities and underserved population in need of healthcare.

STUDENT MENTORSHIP

UHI facilitates patient access for students in the healthcare field for valuable
training and the ability to see the needs of our community, first-hand.

HEALTH EDUCATION

Board members and volunteer physicians focus on educating the community about
health challenges through townhalls, webinars, and panel discussions.

Established in 2008, UHI CommunityCare Clinic provides free primary and
specialty health care to low-income, uninsured residents of South Florida. UHI,
located in Opa Locka, is a nonprofit, volunteer-based clinic dedicated to
helping those in need of necessary health care services but either cannot afford
or do not have health insurance.
