Jean-Eric Vergne sits atop the Drivers' standings after his second-placed finish last time out in Rome. So far this season, the Frenchman is the only driver to have scored points in every race, but the two-time champion is hungry for wins. READ MORE: Vergne hungry for more despite taking silverware and standings lead in Rome The DS TECHEETAH man has a race-winning pedigree at these hallowed grounds, dominating lights-to-flag from pole around the shortened version of the Monaco circuit. JEV taking the chequered flag at the 2019 Monaco E-Prix - the Frenchman will be looking to add to his win tally at the Principality in his run to the World Championship When it came to the extended full circuit last season, JEV claimed the TAG Heuer Fastest Lap on his way to fourth. Despite demonstrating some passing prowess with a brave move squeezing up the inside in the tunnel, the Frenchman took a backseat to the titanic three-way squabble for the top step. At the end of the action-packed 45-minute plus one race, all the glory was handed to his teammate Antonio Felix da Costa who dived for the win with a dramatic tyre-smoking last-lap pass around the outside at the Nouvelle chicane - and then off the high board into the infamous Monegasque pool. While his teammate currently leads the championship, Da Costa is down in 12th position. A repeat of last year's Julius Baer Pole Position and a victory would be the perfect springboard for the 2019/20 champion. After doubling up in Rome, Mitch Evans became the first repeat winner of the season and now sits nine points adrift from the top of the standings. READ MORE: Jaguar back on track after Evans' win-double in Rome Heading into Rome weekend the Jaguar TCS Racing driver had just one point to his name but leapt into title contention after conquering the Eternal City. The New Zealander has four Monaco podiums across his motorsports career, but no wins in the Principality. Evans was a main feature in last year's dash to the trophy, running up the front for the duration of the race before settling for third - and his daring move up Beau Rivage was a key moment for the highlight reels. Robin Frijns arrives in Monaco second in the standings, the Envision Racing driver has the most podium finishes this season with three, and two of those came in Rome last time out. The Dutchman has also been on form in qualifying, he's one of two drivers to have made it into the Duels in every race but has yet to convert this into a pole start. The 2021 Monaco E-Prix was Frijns' best-ever finish here, after finishing second to Da Costa. Brazilian drivers have the most podium finishes of any nation in Monaco, and two of these come from Lucas di Grassi. This is essentially a home race for the former champion as he resides here with his family. Di Grassi will also be flying the red and white Monegasque flag for his new team ROKiT Venturi Racing. The all-black squad are based here and will be looking to add to their trophy cabinet with another Monaco trophy following Felipe Massa's third-placed finish in 2019. Reigning champion Nyck de Vries has been relatively absent since his race-winning start to his title defence in the opening round of 2022 in Diriyah. The Mercedes-EQ driver needs to get that defence kickstarted and Monaco is a good location in front of the glittering sea at the iconic harbourfront. The Dutchman and the German powerhouse had a miserable time in Monaco last season, but he can be buoyed by past success here with two wins in Formula 2. Despite his drop off in form, de Vries can still take some encouragement from being tied for the best average qualifying position this season. Last season's race was an instant classic with overtakes galore, with 28 between the top six runners alone and the lead changing six times. However, there is some food for thought, every win in Monaco has come off the pole slot on the grid. You've got to be in it to win those big prizes, so get those predictions in today!
