to a car through a lease arrangement.</p>

<p class="editable" id="untitled-region-6">To be eligible to join the Motability Scheme, you need to receive one of the following disability benefits and you must have at least 12 months’ award length remaining. Please note that
the Attendance Allowance cannot be used to lease a car through the Scheme.</p>

child aged three or older, as long as they are entitled to the Higher Mobility component of the DLA. There are no medical assessments for the scheme, and you can choose a vehicle straight away without being placed on a waiting
list.</p>

WHAT IS MOTABILITY?
WHAT IS MOTABILITY?
Since 1977, the Motability charity has been working in partnership with
manufacturers to provide the Motability Scheme, a nationwide initiative that
gives disabled motorists easier access to a car through a lease arrangement.
The scheme is government approved and funded, and supported by many
world-renowned motoring brands including BMW, Volkswagen, and SEAT, to name just
a few. The Agnew Group are proud to support the Motability scheme in Northern
Ireland, and can offer a range of 9 Manufacturers to choose from.
ELIGIBILITY
ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible to join the Motability Scheme, you need to receive one of the
following disability benefits and you must have at least 12 months’ award length
remaining. Please note that the Attendance Allowance cannot be used to lease a
car through the Scheme.
* Higher Rate Mobility Component of Disability Living Allowance (HRMC DLA)
* Enhanced Rate Mobility Component of Personal Independence Payment (ERMC PIP)
* War Pensioner's Mobility Supplement (WPMS)
* Armed Forces Independence Payment (AFIP)
If your benefit is not renewed during the lease period on your chosen model,
then you will have to return it when your allowance ends. It's also possible to
apply on the behalf of a child aged three or older, as long as they are entitled
to the Higher Mobility component of the DLA. There are no medical assessments
for the scheme, and you can choose a vehicle straight away without being placed
on a waiting list.
All vehicles are provided fully taxed and insured, and every manufacturer and
dealer will offer you a reassuringly high level of cover.

before your lease expires, and if you decide to continue with Motability, you

The Motability Scheme enables disabled people to lease a new car by exchanging
their Government funded mobility allowance. If you receive either the Higher
Rate Mobility Component of Disability Living Allowance, the Enhanced Rate of the
Mobility Component of Personal Independence Payment (PIP) , the War Pensioners’
Mobility Supplement (WPMS) or the Armed Forces Independence Payment (AFIP) you
may be eligible to join the Motability Scheme.

* Arranging a lease extension on your current Motability car if it is still

* Considering an application for financial help towards the solution that meets
your needs*
If Motability UK is able to provide financial help, you are expected to
contribute as much as you can afford towards a vehicle solution that will meet
your mobility needs. There is a lot of demand for financial help and they try to
ensure that the available money is used to help as many people as possible to
become or remain mobile.

Adaptations are available through Agnew Motability to make your driving, or
travelling, experience as comfortable as possible. Adaptations can help you
drive, stow your wheelchair or scooter, or get in and out of the car.
If you’re looking for an adaptation to help improve your travelling experience,
it’s worth bearing in mind that adaptations generally fall into three

The Agnew Group has been working with 2 local charities Autism NI and MindWise
NI to provide training and support for our employees.
We are proud to announce that in January 2020 Autism NI awarded us their "Impact
Award", which means we are recognised as having an "Autism-friendly"
environment. As part of this process every Agnew Group dealership has an Autism
Champion who has been trained by Autism NI (AQA-accredited) and can support you
or anyone in your family who may need extra support during your visit.
Autism NI have also given us guidance about the provision of a quiet space in
our showrooms, and within each of these you will find a sensory pack (ear
defenders, darkened glasses and fidget pack) which help to calm anxiety.
Mindwise NI has assisted us with the training of our sales, aftersales and front
of house team members on various mental health disorders. This training has
empowered our employees to recognise and understand the most common mental
health issues, as well as provide the required skills to manage these sensitive
customer journeys effectively.

You will be greeted at reception with a friendly welcome and offered
refreshments and a seat in the coffee lounge. The host will then introduce you
to a Sales Executive who will assist you with your enquiry.
The Sales Executive will establish what you would like to achieve from your
visit, how much time you have and where you would like to start. They will ask
relevant questions to ensure they fully understand your needs.
They will recommend a suitable car based on what they have understood of your
wants and needs and demonstrate the key benefits and features based on this
information.
If you want to know the value of your current car they will give you a valuation
based on the age, condition, mileage and cost of any repairs if needed. The
offer will be based on a technical and commercial appraisal of your car as a
trade in.
You will be given the opportunity to drive the car and we have a number of test
drive routes available based on your most common type of driving i.e. motorways,
rural roads. This will allow you to experience the drive and the functionality
of the key features of the vehicle to ensure you are happy with the vehicle of
choice.
Based on your requirements a fully comprehensive quotation will be provided by
the sales executive on the vehicle you have chosen along with a range of funding
options should you require them.
MOTABILITY CUSTOMERS

to the Motability Specialist who will assist you with your enquiry.
The Motability Specialist will answer all your questions about the scheme.
And they will help you choose the vehicle that best suits your needs and arrange
any adaptions you may require.
You will be given the opportunity to drive the car and we have a number of test
drive routes available based on your most common type of driving i.e. motorways,
rural roads. This will allow you to experience the drive and the functionality
of the key features of the vehicle to ensure you are happy with the vehicle of

Once you have chosen the vehicle the Motability Specialist will place the order
for you online at the dealership.
Once your application has been accepted by the Motability Scheme and you will be
sent a PIN to e-sign for the vehicle when it arrives.
And the Motability Specialist will contact you to arrange a suitable date to
collect and sign for the vehicle. You will get a tour of the car, check that all
nominated drivers are on the new insurance cover note, and contact details are
correct.
