ANNOUNCEMENTS

2-Step Login with Duo Required to Access GlobalProtect/VPN Service
Starting next Wednesday, September 29, at 9:00 AM, all members of the campus
community will need to use 2-Step Login with Duo to access the University's
GlobalProtect VPN service. Users of GlobalProtect VPN may experience brief
interruptions or be prompted to verify their credentials while this work is in
progress. 

CAS Computing Merges with ITS
On October 1, 2021, CAS Computing will merge with ITS. The combined organization
will benefit from the collective knowledge of both groups, providing a
consistent technology experience and extended support for classroom and
conference rooms. For more information, visit the CASComp Transition to ITS
page. 

Zoom Cloud Deletion Schedule
Due to increasing costs, the duration for storing Zoom cloud recordings will be
set to 180 days. On October 4, 2021, all recordings made prior to April 7, 2021
will be deleted. Zoom will always email you prior to any deletion activity.
Download Zoom Cloud Recordings to save them for longer periods of time. 

Reconnecting to the University Network
Welcome back! If your University-owned computer has been off the campus network
for an extended period of time, it needs to process new updates and patches when
you reconnect. Follow these ITS recommendations to minimize disruptions to your
work. 

Don't Forget Your Duo-registered Device!
Accessing Microsoft Office 365 (M365) applications in classrooms and conference
rooms now requires use of 2-Step Login with Duo. Remember to bring your
Duo-registered device to any classroom or conference room to access M365.

Make 2-Step Login as Mobile as You Are

 1. Use the free Duo mobile app
 2. Remember me for 30 days
 3. Don't get locked out! Register an Android or iOS tablet as a secondary
    device
