TytoCare™ Medical Exam Kit includes the Tyto Device with Tyto Exam Camera and
non-contact infrared thermometer, Tyto Stethoscope, Tyto Otoscope and Tongue
Depressor.
To use the TytoCare App you must have: iOS (10 or above) or Android OS (4.4.4 or
above). Apple models: iPhone 5S or newer, iPad Air or newer, iPad mini 3 or
newer, iPod touch 6 or newer. Android models: Samsung Galaxy S5, S6 plus, Note
5, A7, J7 or newer, LG G4 or newer.
Access to a secure Wi-Fi (2.4GHz only) or personal hotspot. 5GHz is not
supported.
A Spectrum Health MyChart account.
TytoCare is Health Savings Account / Flexible Spending Account eligible and can
be purchased with an HSA/FSA card.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What kind of smartphone or tablet do I need to use Tyto?
TytoCare currently works with the following iOS devices only: iPhone 6 or
higher, iPad Mini 4 or higher, iPad Air or higher, or iPod Touch 6 or higher.
Over time it will work on a broader range of devices, including Android devices.
How do I know what Apple iOS device I have?
* 1. Go to Settings, then General, then About.
* 2. Look for the Model Number (Screenshot 1 – Model No MK6L2LL/A).
* 3. Search the Model Number on Google.
* 4. The top results would usually be from Best-Buy or Amazon, and in them they
will mention the model No.
Another approach is the following:
* 1. Go to Settings, then General, then About.
* 2. Click on the Model Number.
* 3. The number displayed there will change into a friendlier representation
(Screenshot 2 – Model No. A1538).
* 4. Go to the relevant Apple’s Support page to identify the model:
* a. Identify your iPhone model
* b. Identify your iPad model
Is the TytoHome Exam Kit covered by insurance?
At the present time we are not aware of any insurance carriers that cover the
Tyto Device, but please check with your carrier as their policies are subject to
change. If you have a flexible spending account with your employer you can use
it to purchase TytoHome.
What exams can I do with the TytoHome Exam Kit?
TytoHome has the following exam capabilities: Camera for taking photos and
videos of the skin and the throat, thermometer for taking temperature, otoscope
for looking inside the ears, stethoscope for heart, lung and abdomen sounds and
capturing heart rate.
Is the TytoHome Kit equivalent to the tools used in office?
Yes, the TytoHome Exam Kit is designed to replicate the exams performed during
an in-office exam. Tyto provides your physician with high quality digital sounds
of the heart and lungs, high quality digital images and video of the ears,
throat and skin, and body temperature.
Are telehealth visits covered by insurance?
Telehealth sessions are covered by a number of insurers, including: Aetna, Blue
Cross Blue Shield, UnitedHealthcare, UnitedHealthcare Community Plan, Empire
Plan, and Oxford.
Is TytoCare HSA/FSA approved?
TytoCare is approved for purchasing with HSA/FSA funds.
Can I use my HSA/FSA card to purchase?
Because TytoHome is HSA/FSA approved, all you need to do is check out on
tytocare.com using your HSA/FSA debit card. You are also able to use another
form of payment and apply for reimbursement through your plan at the discretion
of your provider.
Is TytoCare FDA cleared?
TytoCare Stethoscope is FDA cleared and all other devices comply with FDA
requirements.
Who can use TytoCare?
Anyone in your household may use the TytoCare Medical Exam Kit. Only one device
is necessary per family.
Is there a monthly subscription fee to use TytoCare?
No, there is no monthly subscription fee to use TytoCare at this time.
When should I use TytoCare?
TytoCare provides an on demand physical exam that captures Heart, Lung, Ear,
Throat and Temperature exams. Make sure to pair your TytoHome device as soon as
you receive it so that it is ready to use when you need it. You may need to use
your TytoCare when you or a family member is feeling sick or even for wellness
checks.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
As a private contractor, our health insurance selections aren’t always the
greatest as we move companies. I was excited to see this feature provided at
a low cost through my insurance in comparison to ER and Urgent Care visits.
It’s been a time and life saver! I’ve been able to schedule appointments
(4-5am) before heading out for work and my Rx is ready by breakfast
(depending on the pharmacy hours) allowing me to skip the lines, waiting
rooms, and go about my day freely while obtaining good quality treatment.
Every doctor I’ve had has been very pleasant, easy to talk to and
knowledgeable. The app even lets you upload pictures. Highly recommended!

LOVE!!
The exam is so easy to perform that my 6-year-old son can do most of it on
himself! We all have used the TytoHome kit multiple times over the past few
months with our current health provider. Luckily, our insurance is a part of
the Tyto network, so it was an easy decision for us to transition to this
for basic medical examinations and care. My youngest gets ear infections
often, so this has helped us save a lot of time going back and forth to our
physician. It also helps deliver a peace of mind if anyone is worried they
may have something serious and are wondering if they should get further
care. We highly recommend TytoHome, we love it!

WOW. THE FUTURE OF MEDICINE IS HERE!
I hardly ever write reviews but had to for TytoCare/ TytoHome. Why call and
schedule an office visit, travel to that visit, wait in a waiting room with
other sick patients, and pay outrages fees when you have this? I’ve used
this service several times and cannot recommend them enough. The doctors are
super and the video chat takes place wherever you feel comfortable, no need
to leave home. Every doctor I’ve see has taken the time to explain his or
her diagnosis and happily answered any questions that I had. I’ve recommend
this service to my immediate family and we all now use it. Can’t say enough
good things about the service and price.

TRIAL EXAMS ARE IMPORTANT!
I highly, highly recommend doing 2 or more trial exams on whoever is getting
help to make sure you are doing it accurately, and that all trials provide
the same results within that sitting. I say this because our first time we
used it, we did not do any trials… and my daughter was complaining of an
earache and we didn’t get it properly diagnosed due to an improper exam.
(oops, my fault!!) Luckily, it was only an ear infection and not anything
more serious. But I still felt awful that my daughter was in pain for a
little while longer. Other than this little hiccup (that again was my fault)
we have loved the convenience TytoHome has given us.

THANKFUL!
Living in Michigan… we are unfortunately susceptible to so many colds, flus,
etc during the winter months. And this past winter with COVID being present,
we were more worried than we normally are. My wife and I both working from
home and our two kids are doing virtual learning at home too. We have been
bunkered down in here together for a while now, and we decided to purchase
the TytoHome as soon as we heard wind of it. It has helped us all so much
when anyone feels a little off during this quarantine period for us. We are
so thankful for this sort of technology, and thankful for the doctors in
Michigan who are apart of this incredible program!

MUCH BETTER THAN A PEDIACTRICS' OFFICE
I swear every time I go into an actual doctors office especially a
pediatrics office I feel so much dirtier and germier leaving than I did when
I entered. I know we are there to get better… but in reality it’s the last
place to want to be if you are avoiding germs for your health!
TytoHome has completely removed the need for a physical doctor visit for
most scenarios than not. It is easy and we are able to wait in the comfort
of our clean home. We were able to use our normal and regular insurance
provider and there were no high costs with using the app instead of a
physical visit. Easy 5/5 and I highly recommend for everyone especially
moms.

PERFECT FOR FAMILIES AT HOME
As a stay-at-home mom with two young kids, another one on the way and a busy
husband, this has been the most helpful thing for our family in the last
year or two. My daughter who is now 2 years old, loves using the kit so much
I have to remind her constantly it is not a toy and “we are not sick” haha.
My son is 6 months old so not all of the attachments work for him yet, but
he can still be seen if needed. The longest I've ever had to wait for a
doctor has been 20 minutes and you are able to exit the app and they will
send you a notification when the doctor is ready. So incredibly pleased and
I think most families should and would benefit from this!

SAVED ME A TRIP TO THE DOCTOR!
TytoCare was recommended to me as a quick and easy alternative to trying to
find a last minute slot at my doc's office. I am really impressed with how
easy it was to sign up and get seen! They had tons of availability and I was
able to schedule an appointment before leaving for work from the comfort of
my own bed (and pjs). Dr. Kim was very helpful and personable! I work with
kids and didn't want to expose them to possible strep throat. Getting seen
right away by TytoHome gave me the quick information I needed to know if I
was healthy enough to go to work! I will definitely be using Tytohome in the
future and recommend that others try it too!
