classical training, anyone can play and perform any style of Music and Art.

WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO START YOUR OWN BUSINESS?

Rima Saribekyan, founder of Ontario Academy Of Music and Art. Rima’s passion for
the violin and piano began when she was just six years old, in her hometown
Yerevan, in Armenia. Coming from a family of musicians she was first taught by
her mother and inspired from a young age to pursue a professional career. As a
child prodigy, she was accepted at the renowned Tchaikovsky Specialized Music
School in Yerevan. After successfully graduating with an Honor diploma at the
age of 15, Rima was accepted at Komitas State Conservatory of Music.
At the age of 20, she completed her Bachelor of Art. At the age of 21, she
graduated with an Honor diploma and obtained her Master of Art from Yerevan
State Conservatory of Music. Rima is also holding a Master of Arts degree from
the University of Toronto.
Shortly after her graduation, she was invited to teach in Moscow-Russia. She
conducted several violin master classes in the city of Moscow. She has recorded
with prestigious Armenian and international musicians.
Rima has performed as a violin soloist with the Symphony Orchestra of Armenia
and performed a number of charitable concerts to benefit children in different
countries. She received masterclasses from renowned musicians in Europe and the
USA and was part of the performance series as a chamber artist.

After immigrating to Canada, Rima was inspired to continue her journey as a
musician and to teach and mentor the next generation of Canadians. Rima has
taught private music lessons to students of all ages and all walks of life since
2008. Some of her students were accepted to study and continue their education
in Germany and Canada. She is a registered teacher with the Royal Conservatory
of Music.
She has developed a special training technique that enables students to become
proficient in playing musical instruments within a couple of weeks.
Success in training students for years has inspired Rima to establish the
Ontario Academy of Music and Art.
Being a diligent educator is important to Rima. She firmly believes that music
enables students to build a solid foundation for lifelong learning; to establish
craftsmanship, imagination, and motivation. She is confident that, with
classical training, anyone can play and perform any style of music.
