CASPER

Casper, Wyoming, lies in the heart of the mountain west along the path of the
Oregon Trail, beside the North Platte River. It is the second largest city in
Wyoming. Its central location makes it a heart of industry and commerce in
Wyoming serving as a base for many of the energy service companies that work in
the state’s oil, gas and uranium fields. The city serves as transportation hub
for the state and has an international airport, railway service, and a
significant transloading facility. Casper College, Wyoming’s largest junior
college, and joint facilities of Casper College and the University of Wyoming
make Casper one of Wyoming’s centers for education as well. It boasts a level II
trauma hospital as well as a private surgical hospital and numerous surgery
centers. With a large number of specialists, the city has a vibrant and thriving
health care community. Finally, with a ski area, reservoir, kayak park, four
golf courses and blue ribbon trout fishing within a twenty minute drive, it
proves to be a great place not only to work, but to live as well.
