WELCOME

Welcome to the Explore Outdoors beta map, which is the minimal viable product
demonstration for CivTech 6 Challenge 8.

The beta map displays real time data from sensors placed in and around the
Balmaha Visitor Centre in the Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park. The pulsing
pins show the points of interest (POIs) which have busyness data. Select the
'Busyness' tab on the POI card to see hourly graphs of busyness of many points
in and around the Visitor Centre to help plan your trip. If you turn on the
parking sites, you can find an alternative stopping point.

The map hopes to enhance your visit by displaying walking & cycling routes,
waterfalls, and camping sites to name a few. The map even shows you where to
find Red Squirrels, Beavers and Red Deer!

Over the next year we will connect more sensors to other Visitor Hubs and
display the data on the map. We will also add new categories to meet the
specific information needs of all visitor communities, including cyclists,
walkers, and camper and motorhome owners.

The Explore Outdoors beta map was developed by Whereverly with IoT services
