Whilst the island has changed over the years a hip, and cool ambiance continues to surround the island and there are still pockets of 'the old Boracay' to be found. In recent years Boracay has developed a reputation as a 'Foodie' destination, with many new restaurants and World-Class Chefs. Apart from White Beach, there are many other beautiful beaches along Boracay's coast, each with its own unique spirit. These include Cagban, Manoc-manoc, Tambisaan, Tulhaban, Bulabog, Ilig-iligan, Puka Shell, Punta Bunga, Balinghai and Diniwid. With all these beaches it is no surprise that there are many fabulous watersports to be enjoyed, including windsurfing, kitesurfing, snorkelling, helmet diving and diving, to name just a few. Bulabog Beach, on the East side of the island, is a popular beach to stay on or near, especially for visiting Kite Surfers and Wind Surfers, as this is the beach where these activities take place from November through to June. From July to October all Water Sport Activity is moved to this beach. Ilig-iligan Beach is perfect for those seeking solitude but visitors must be aware of a dangerous Rip Tide and not attempt to swim out to the rocks in front of the beach. This beach does not have lifeguards on duty, so is not suitable for children or non-swimmers.
