MOSQUITO CONTROL


AN EFFECTIVE TOOL TO FIGHT DENGUE, CHIKUNGUNYA AND ZIKA VIRUS

Dengue, Chikungunya and Zika virus are rapidly spreading in tropical regions
throughout the world. Their vector, the Aedes mosquito, is difficult to control
as it divides its eggs over various small and hard to find breeding sites and
has become resistant to chemical insecticides. The In2Care Mosquito Trap
effectively attracts and kills Aedes mosquitoes with novel and green ingredients
that target both larvae and adults. Trap activity is not limited to the trap
itself, but extends to the surrounding area.

The In2Care® Mosquito Trap is made from durable polyethylene, which lasts
several years under tropical conditions. The gauze strip on the trap floater
needs to be replaced every 4-6 weeks for optimal activity, for which easy-to-use
refill sachets can be purchased. We recommend area-wide deployment, using
densities of approximately 1 trap per 400 m2 (10 traps per acre) in high risk
areas with many mosquito breeding sources.

Trap efficacy has been scientifically validated and published in a peer-reviewed
academic journal

Field validations were carried out by the IVCD of the Trinidad Ministry of
Health

A large-scale trial is being conducted by the MRCU on the Cayman Islands
