Into the Roots, a collective farm resort that employs local wisdom in farming
and is designed aesthetically with eco-conscious living spaces that offer a
unique getaway experience. Nestled on the foothills of the magnificent Western
ghats of Malayattoor and surrounded by the tropical village of Bhoothathankettu,
this retreat is an hour and a half drive from Kochi, Kerala. The Stay is set
amidst eco-sensible farmland that allows you to rediscover your organic
connection with abundant nature.

Live amidst a garden of abundance.

Spread over 10 acres, with a stream flowing through the farm adorned with lush
plantations of Rambutan, Mangosteen, and other cultivations of fruits and leafy
vegetables. Besides, there’s a fishpond and a vegetable garden on the property.

Farmer’s Feast, lets you experience the culinary culture of Kerala’s northern
Travancore through its authentic vegetarian and non-vegetarian delicacies. The

Into the Roots organise nature/ adventure trips on demand including nature
camping, kayaking, fishing, river walks, bird watching, jeep safaris, trail
hiking, trekking, off-road trips, village walks and rock climbing. We also offer
the services of a naturalist for nature activities.

The eco-conscious practices to reduce the carbon footprint start with
agriculture and growing food and fruits on the property. Our kitchen uses farm
produce for preparing food and ingredients sourced from local farming
collectives. The stays are also built followed by eco-sensitive principles and
available materials at their finest with a minimalist design language.

Beautiful and soul-reviving escape.

I visited this place with a friend. The farm stay is great, with beautiful
cottages, helpful staff and tasty Indian food! We were having traditional Kerala
food for the first time, and I enjoyed the variety of tasteful traditional foods
there. The management and the staffs were truly kind and reachable for any
needs. We had a great stay there and enjoyed hiking in the nearby woods. It was
a beautiful holiday, and we will be coming back. Thank You.
