DEVLOG #0: GENESIS

So, game development, didn’t expect to see myself here again so soon! Welcome
to Devlog #0 for a new project called Lambdλ (duh da daaaaaa). I’m sure this
game won’t fall flat like all of my others have! At the moment I’m just
introducing you to the concept, any ideas are welcomed.

I’m aiming to start development in about a month, during which time I’ll be
focusing on fleshing out the game’s mechanics, refining the story, and creating
a captivating gameplay experience. While there may not be immediate updates
during this initial phase, I’m committed to keeping you updated on the progress
of Lambdλ as it evolves.

I’m not going to lie… I have a problem with starting to make a game then giving
up after the first file gets saved. Multiple game engines, multiple game ideas
that are so easy a baby could make it and even a failed senior project couldn’t
get me to make a successful game or demo!

What does this say about my dedication? Unfortunately not a lot… so… YAY!

I will be using the ever popular Unreal Engine for my game! Why? It has this
really neat (and free!) game template called Horror Engine that pretty much has
all the basic fixings you’d need to make a decent horror game… and did I mention
it’s FREE and still being maintained! It’s been updated to UE5 and it’s still a
really good option depending on whatever kind of game you want to make.

This will also mean that yes… there will be a whole devlog/maybe a video about
me getting Unreal to work. Because for some reason, even with my above average
computer, I still can’t get jack chuckle to work!

Until next time I guess!
