FAULKNER FEBRUARY 19, 1947 – AUGUST 19, 2023 Sherry Faulkner passed away Aug. 19, 2023, at the age of 76. She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church and the Benton Master Gardeners. Sherry also had a distinguished career as a cardiovascular perfusionist at Arkansas Children’s Hospital where she was hired to develop and open an ECMO unit. She served as the ECMO coordinator for a decade helping countless children. In 1999 she won the “Perfusionist of the Year” award from the American Society of Extracorporeal Technology and authored many scientific articles concerning ECMO in her career. She was a Fellow Member of the American Academy of Cardiovascular Perfusion and served as its President in 2004. Even though she had many professional achievements, it was helping people that she loved. Sherry was an avid supporter of animals.
