MAKRO ACCEPTED PAYMENT METHODS

We want to make shopping as convenient as possible for you. In keeping with this
philosophy, there are a number of accepted payment types for Makro shoppers, for
both online and in-store purchases. We accept all of the following payment
methods:

OZOW ONLINE PAYMENT

How to Pay with Ozow

 Choose Ozow at checkout for an easy, fast, secure payment experience!

Ozow provides an automated EFT service, which means all you need to make
payments is a bank account (that’s right, there’s no need to enter your card
details).

Here’s how it works:

1. Select Ozow as your payment option.

2. Select your bank. Ozow has South Africa’s nine major banks to choose from.

3. Login with your banking details and select your account (don’t worry, Ozow
adheres to the highest industry standards when it comes to security).

4. Accept your bank’s authorisation request. And that’s it – payment successful!

AMERICAN EXPRESS CARD

You can now use your American Express Card to pay for all your purchases on the
Makro website.  Simply proceed to checkout and enter your Amex Card details to
pay. 




AMERICAN EXPRESS MEMBERSHIP REWARDS


You can now use your Membership Rewards points to pay for all your purchases on
the Makro website.  Simply proceed to checkout and enter your Membership Rewards
Card details to pay. T&Cs apply and are available on www.nedbank.co.za.

NEDBANK GREENBACKS


You can now use your Nedbank Greenbacks to pay for all your purchases on the
Makro website.  Simply proceed to checkout and enter your Greenbacks SHOP Card

DISCOVERY MILES

Shop online at Makro and save up to 20%

Vitality members who are Discovery Bank clients with Vitality Money, can now
save between 5% and 20% when you spend your Discovery Miles online at
www.makro.co.za.

Imagine the world of quality branded products you can unlock with your Discovery
Miles at Makro. Get everything you need for your home, office, holiday, school,

How your up to 20% discount works

You’ll get 5% off for every Vitality programme that you’ve activated – Vitality
Health, Vitality Drive and Vitality Money – plus an additional 5% for having a

PAYU ONLINE PAYMENT



Online shopping just got easier! You no longer need a credit card to shop online
with Makro. Shoppers who bank with FNB, Standard Bank, Nedbank or ABSA can use
Internet banking with the instant service from PayU Smart EFT.

 1. When you checkout and choose to pay with PayU, you will be redirected to
    sign into the secure payments page.
 2. Select your preferred payment option.
 3. PayU validates the transaction information through its Fraud Detection
    System.
 4. You will receive an email confirmation of the payment and your order will be
    confirmed




PAYFLEX ONLINE PAYMENT



What is Payflex
Payflex lets you get what you need now, but pay for it over four interest-free
instalments. You pay 25% upfront, then three payments of 25% over the following
six weeks.

How it works:

 1. Buy online as normal
 2. At checkout, choose Payflex as your payment method
 3. Follow our super-fast online vetting process, and pay your first 25% with
    your debit or credit card
 4. Get your stuff right away, and pay 25% every two weeks.

You must be over 18 years old, have a valid South African ID and have a debit or
credit card issued by Visa, Mastercard or Amex. Terms and conditions apply.

    will be on its way to you soon.

GET MORE WITH UCOUNT REWARDS



Makro is a Rewards Retailer on the Standard Bank UCount Rewards and UCount
Rewards for Business programmes. If you are a member, you can collect UCount
Rewards Points every time you shop online or in-store at Makro – and you can
redeem your Rewards Points at Makro too!

Here’s how it works…


 1. Join UCount Rewards and / or UCount Rewards for Business and shop with your
    qualifying Standard Bank personal or business Credit, Cheque or Debit Card.
    You will earn Rewards Points when you use your Card to pay for your
    purchases at Makro stores nationwide and online.
 2. Members shopping at Makro, will earn up to 2%* back in Rewards Points on
    general merchandise.
 3. Members on the UCount Rewards programme will earn up to 20%* back in Rewards
    Points on grocery purchases made in-store.
 4. Members on the UCount Rewards programme will earn up to 20%* back in Rewards
    Points on fashion purchases made in-store.

GIVE A MAKRO GIFT CARD

 

Makro gift cards make the perfect present, giving your friends and family a
world of choice. Gift cards are available at till points at all Makro stores and
can be loaded with your chosen amount ranging between R50 and R5000.

Call our national contact centre to place a bulk order on 0860 300 999.

All tender types as currently accepted by Makro can be used to purchase gift
cards, including RCS cards.

In order to check the balance on a gift card, you can:

 1. Ask a cashier at any main store till point
 2. SMS your gift card number to 34543 (SMS charged at R2)
 3. Call 083 918 7700.
