WHY DOES THE DHL GROUP VALUE DIVERSITY, EQUITY, INCLUSION, AND BELONGING IN ITS
SUPPLY CHAIN?

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (DEIB) are an essential part of the
way the DHL Group does business. We believe that by having a diverse supplier
base which represents the communities we serve, we can support and strengthen
our teams, our communities, and our business. 

And we rely on the expertise of these partners to help us deliver the best
product, with the greatest value, to a marketplace that is also increasingly
diverse. 

After all, research has shown that an increased investment in diverse suppliers
increases opportunity for all, cultivating the innovation of new and improved
products and services.


WHAT IS A DIVERSE SUPPLIER?

A diverse supplier is a business that is at least 51% owned and operated by an
individual or group that is part of a traditionally underrepresented or
underserved group.


WHAT TYPES OF DIVERSE BUSINESSES QUALIFY FOR INCLUSION IN YOUR SUPPLIER
DIVERSITY PROGRAM?

Minority Business Enterprises (MBE's) – For the USA: Includes businesses that
are certified by an approved agency to be at least 51% owned, operated and
controlled by a minority individual or group. In the case of publicly held
businesses, at least 51% of the stock must be owned by a minority or minority
group members. Minorities include persons of color who are Asian/-Pacific
Islander Americans, Sub-Continent Asian Americans, Black/African Americans,
Hispanic/Latinx Americans and Native/Indigenous Americans. Foreign-owned firms
operating in the U.S. are not included in these categories.

For Canada: Includes businesses that are certified by an approved agency to be
at least 51% owned, operated and controlled by a visible minority (Visible
minorities are persons other than Aboriginal peoples, who are non-Caucasian in
race or non-white in colour. In practice, the Government of Canada includes the
following groups: Chinese, South Asian, Black, Filipino, Latin American,
Southeast Asian, Arab, West Asian, Korean, Japanese (as defined by
the Employment Equity Act and Statistics Canada) ); or Aboriginal person(s)
(Aboriginal peoples are persons who are First Nations (Status Indians), Inuit,
or Métis (as defined by the Employment Equity Act). Must be a for profit
enterprise supplying products and services to other businesses. Must be a
Canadian citizen or permanent resident. Due to reciprocity with NMSDC, US
citizens and permanent residents are also accepted.

Women Business Enterprises (WBE's) - Include businesses that are certified by an
approved agency to be at least 51% owned, operated and controlled by a
non-minority woman or group of non-minority women who are U.S. citizens. In the
case of publicly held businesses, at least 51%of the stock must be owned by a
woman or women. 

For businesses outside the USA, the four criteria considered to join the
WEConnect International network are ownership, management, control and
independence. Businesses that meet the criteria are determined to be at least
51% owned, as well as managed and controlled, by one or more women.

Veteran Owned Business - Include businesses that are certified by an approved
agency to be at least 51% owned, operated and controlled by a veteran or
veterans who are U.S. citizens. In the case of a publicly held business, at
least 51% of the stock must be owned by a veteran or veterans. Also acceptable
are veteran discharge papers.

Disability Owned Business (DOBE’s) - A disability-owned business enterprise is a
for-profit business that is at least 51% owned, managed and controlled by a
person with a disability regardless of whether or not that business owner
employs person(s) with a disability.

It is critical that you are thorough in completing the registration in the
Supplier Registration Portal.  Your opportunity to differentiate your company
from others depends on the quality of your application. You will be able to
upload your certifications and any other attachments you would like the buyer to
review.

The DHL Groups Supplier Diversity Program requires diverse businesses present
proof of third-party certification.


HOW DOES THE SUPPLIER DIVERSITY PROGRAM WORK WITHIN THE PROCUREMENT PROCESS?

We at the DHL Group, promote diversity growth in our supplier base by doing the
following:

HOW DOES A DIVERSE SUPPLIER LEARN ABOUT UPCOMING OPPORTUNITIES TO WORK WITH THE
DHL GROUP?

We encourage all diverse suppliers who want to work with us to register in our
Supplier Registration Portal. As strategies often change, we do not share
upcoming sourcing opportunities. Upon registering, we will use your information
for reference when opportunities become available.


I HAVE REGISTERED IN THE SUPPLIER REGISTRATION PORTAL, BUT I HAVE NOT HEARD BACK
REGARDING OPPORTUNITIES. WHAT SHOULD I DO NEXT?

Once you have completed the registration on the Supplier Registration Portal,
you will receive an email confirmation acknowledging that your information has
been added to the system and that your account has been activated. You can then
proceed and define a password to access the system to manage your profile.

However, registering will not guarantee business and/or contract with the DHL
Group. We will keep your information in the database in order to contact you
when opportunities become available in your category. If your company has not
been contacted for a potential procurement opportunity, either the opportunity
has not yet occurred, we do not have a need for the product/service your company
provides, or a match between your company's product/service and our procurement
needs has not been identified.


WHAT ARE MY CHANCES OF BEING SELECTED AS A VENDOR?

We're committed to inclusion of diverse businesses. Your chances of being
awarded business depends on your company's offerings and how it aligns to our
business needs and opportunities. There is no guarantee of business, and
business is only awarded after a thorough vetting process with the Procurement
Team and the decision maker.

Certification is a process managed by a third party to determine that a business

IS THERE A REGISTRATION FEE?

There is no registration fee associated with registering on the Supplier
Registration Portal; though there are some variable costs associated with
certification.

WHAT IF I DON'T HAVE ALL OF THE INFORMATION THE SYSTEM IS ASKING FOR?

There are few mandatory questions that need to be answered to complete your
registration process. If you do not have the required information readily
available, you can complete the registration at a later time. For that please
click on "Send Initial Password/Forgot Password" at the Registration Portal
entry page to define your password to enter the system and complete missing
information. Otherwise your registration will not be activated.


HOW CAN I GET TECHNICAL SUPPORT?

Our process is designed in the most efficient way for supplier information to be
reviewed by our buyers. If, during any step of the process, you experience

WHAT IF MY STATUS AS A DIVERSE SUPPLIER HAS CHANGED?

If your status has changed, you should update your profile on the Supplier
Registration Portal as soon as possible. The change will not affect our supplier
relationship, but it does impact our ability to keep information on diverse
suppliers up to date.


DOES REGISTERING WITH THE SUPPLIER DIVERSITY PROGRAM ENSURE THAT THE DHL GROUP
WILL DO BUSINESS WITH ME?

After a company is registered in the Supplier Registration Portal, the DHL Group
team can review information and determine opportunities. 

Completing the registration process does not guarantee that your company will
receive a request to bid and/or a contract from the DHL Group, nor does it imply
that your company has any type of procurement relationship with the DHL Group,
either now or in the future.

Registering provides us with your company's vital information so that we can
match your company to potential opportunities. You will be contacted if an
opportunity becomes available that matches your company's product and/or service
offering.
