Bauhaus fest

From today until Saturday night big thinkers from around the bloc will
participate in workshops, panel discussions and debates in Brussels — as well as
in 200 side events being held in 25 countries — to come up with ideas for
ensuring that the Europe of the future is not only green, but also beautiful.

By the numbers

Brussels, the de facto capital of Europe, is beloved for its architecture, its
nightlife, its frites and beers. It’s also a city with deep inequalities,
particularly when it comes to housing, health and local pollution, according to
