ABOUT NATURE RX

Nature Rx @ Cornell is a campus-wide initiative, represented by many individuals
from around the university who have come together with a shared passion for how
connection with nature can support every Cornellian's well-being.

Many studies have shown that spending even small amounts of time in nature has
positive impacts.  Through a Cornell Health “prescription” program, as well as a
student club, courses, and events, Nature Rx aims to help more of our community
members benefit from exploring the natural beauty on and around Cornell’s
campus!

For more information, please contact naturerx@cornell.edu.

NATURE & YOUR WELL-BEING

Have you ever felt refreshed after taking a walk through the Cornell Botanic
Gardens? Find yourself in a brighter mood after sitting on Libe Slope? While
these positive experiences in nature may feel like they are only in our heads,
research shows that spending time in nature can have real, tangible benefits for
your health and well-being.

Experiences in nature can:

 * Support your ability to concentrate and increase your attention span
 * Boost your mood and improve your sense of overall happiness
 * Reduce stress and help you feel calm
 * Increase the number and quality of social connections and relationships
 * Boost your physical health and well-being

Explore our website to discover how and where you can connect with nature.
