 * Ongoing outage cancels classes at 2 elementary schools
   
   An ongoing power outage has forced Escondido and Nixon elementary schools to
   call off classes on Wednesday, according to Palo Alto Unified.

 * Series of outages hit Palo Alto, neighboring cities on Midpeninsula
   
   On Tuesday, Palo Alto Utilities crews worked to address multiple power
   outages in the city due to strong winds that caused trees and branches to
   land on electrical equipment.

Power outages impact thousands in Palo Alto, East Palo Alto, Stanford
Multiple power outages were reported in Palo Alto on Tuesday afternoon,
including one that impacted 3,380 customers, the Utilities Department said.
Thousands more have also been affected by outages in East Palo Alto and at
