 About the Author

Esther J Rohly is a Christian woman who loves God, family and especially
children. While she was in high school, music was important to her. She played
clarinet in the band and sang in the choir. When babysitting in high school, she
would make up stories to tell the children at bedtime. Sometimes she even let
the children suggest the ending.

She graduated from Malone College with a BA in Christian Ministries with a
concentration in Christian education. Upon graduation, she pursued a career in
teaching children and being a part of a Christian Preschool. For 30 years she
has taught preschool, served as Children's Ministries Director at her local
church, and worked with homeless women in a house for women in distress.

 In her free time, she loves to write books, read, and bake. Her favorite things
to do are to spend time with family and friends.

Esther grew up in rural Ohio. Her youngest childhood memories are from her
"parents' farm" where she could allow her imagination to run free. Even though
her siblings left Ohio, she stayed and married a wonderful Christian man, and
together they raised three children. As a young mom, she took children's
literature courses with the eventual goal of writing children's books. She is a
member of SCBWI, along with taking classes at the Story Time Academy.   

   She has always had a passion for children and children’s books.

Esther’s favorite books have humor and happy conclusions. She wants her readers
to enjoy her books of humor as much as she enjoyed writing them.
