Sustainability, Optimization, and Learning for InterDependent networks
laboratory (solid lab) is an interdisciplinary research group, led by Prof. M.
Hadi Amini, bridging the gap between machine learning and optimization theory
and real-world. Interdependent networks, e.g., cyberphysical systems (CPS) and
critical infrastructures, require highly efficient computational algorithms to
deal with large-scale learning and decision-making problems. Our goal is to
leverage our solid mathematical background to develop novel algorithms tailored
for various applications such as CPS security and resilience, privacy-preserving
decision-making, and trustworthy artificial intelligence. At solid lab we also
aim at solidifying cyberphysical systems and critical infrastructures leveraging
computing and information sciences, i.e., we are connecting Computer Science and
Engineering worlds! Our ongoing funded projects focuses on developing advanced
machine learning and optimization algorithms, including, federated learning,
quantum machine learning, and deep learning for  cyber-physical-social systems
resilience and security, homeland security, and critical infrastructure
operation and planning!
