SPECIAL ISSUE "CURRENT STATUS AND FUTURE TRENDS IN BIOSCIENCE AND BIOTECHNOLOGY"

Aim and Scope

Recent social requests for new industry creation in the biotechnology field have
been increasing rapidly. The Division of Bioscience and Biotechnology for Future
Bioindustries was newly founded in order to meet these social needs by
conducting frontier research directed to bioindustrial applications on the basis
of microbiology, food science, bioorganic chemistry, genomics, and
bioinformatics. This division also provides education and training to the
students, allowing them to be expected as scientific research leaders with
entrepreneurial skills in new bioindustrial areas.
