LLOYD TURNER Director Of Outfield Training × LLOYD TURNER Director Of Outfield Training -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hello, I am Lloyd Turner! I am excited to be on the advisory board of this amazing organization. Baseball has been apart my life since I can remember. My journey has been great and has taught me many life lessons along the way. Things such as hard work, persistence, and being studious has helped in huge ways. In 1998, the Dodgers drafted me out of High School and I proceeded to attend Middle Georgia Junior College for more development and education. In 2002 the Oakland A’s drafted me as a senior out of Kennesaw State University. Going into professional baseball, I was a middle infielder with some experience as an outfielder. With the versatility, I was able to become a utility player in my career and it afforded me the opportunity to play 11 seasons with Triple-A being the highest level. I began my coaching career immediately after hanging up the cleats and it has been an amazing experience thus far. Going into my 9th season, I was a hitting coach for 6 years at the Short season and Low-A levels, as well as Manager at the Low-A level in Beloit, Wisconsin. Within this period, I contributed to leading and developing the Outfield program for our Minor League System. I am now taking on a new role as a Hitting Coach that will entail more use of technology and data to help develop the hitters. Along with the playing, I was able to complete my Bachelors and Master Degree programs in Business and Accounting. As I continue to grow in this game, it is my mission to be impactful to help young baseball players reach their full potential. I am a proud Husband and a Father to two boys and a girl. Since the cleats have been hung up, my newfound passion is golfing and for some reason I keep chasing the challenging sports.
