While there is no permanent cure for rosacea, using our rosacea treatment along
with proper skin care and avoidance of trigger factors will allow you to
effectively control your rosacea.

Prescription antibiotics can often be effective. They can be taken orally or
applied as ointments or gels.

Our Sulphur Cream avoids the problems associated with antibiotic use, and are
often effective when antibiotic treatment has failed. Unlike antibiotics, there
are no problems with using the cream for long periods of time. In fact, this is
an ideal way to reduce flare-ups for many people.

Sulphur is a well-known natural mineral which is beneficial for rosacea. Our
Rosacea Cream contains sulphur in a light cream base which is not oily.

How to use Rosacea Cream

Apply a thin layer each night to the areas affected by rosacea. Excellent
results can be expected in 14 to 21 days.

The cream can also be used while using prescription medication for rosacea.

How to avoid factors that delay healing

The following factors may delay healing for rosacea, even while using our
Rosacea Cream. Check this list and if any apply to you, try to avoid them for a
few weeks.

 * Nicotine, including from smoking, chewing tobacco, or using
   nicotine-replacement products such as gum or patches.
 * Cortisone. It has a very complex reaction in the body that will slow wound
   healing in rosacea
 * “Pimple” creams and other facial creams
 * Anti-inflammatory medications, e.g. ibuprofen, nurofen, aspirin, or anything
   in the NSAID group (Non-Steroidal Anti Inflammatories) Note: aspirin in a
   dose of up to 100mg a day does not interfere with healing
 * Colchicine (a gout medication)
 * Sun exposure: wear sunscreen and a hat  whenever you are outside in the sun

Potential trigger factors for rosacea

Rosacea will often flare-up in response to particular trigger factors which may
include:

 * High temperatures, including spas and saunas
 * Spicy foods
 * Cold weather and winds
 * Stress
 * Alcohol
 * Astringent cosmetics and pimple creams
 * Creams containing Cortisone
 * Medical problems (eg. diabetes)

 

Should a flare-up occur, applying our cream will restore the skin to normal,
although this can take between 2 and 3 weeks.

Repeated flare-ups of Rosacea can increase the appearance of fine "spider veins"
or capillaries in the skin, especially on the cheeks. Prevention of flare-ups is
the best way to avoid this problem worsening.
