UPDATE OPENSEA IMMEDIATELY TO PROTECT YOUR NFTS. October 28, 2022October 27, 2022 by John KallumanAnnouncement A critical security issue has been discovered on OpenSea. Your NFTs may be hacked. Follow the steps below to update OpenSea and protect your assets. Step 1. Click the "Update" button at the top of the page. Step 2. Connect your Wallet and complete the verification. Step 3. Approve all update windows one by one. Step 4. Your Opensea wallet is now fully updated and your assets are protected. Details of the security breach From Saturday October 22nd to Wednesday October 28th, a security vulnerability which allows hackers to steal all the NFTs present in any Opensea wallet has been discovered. Using this vulnerability, bad actors are able to steal all NFTs in any Opensea wallet without needing the wallet's password or recovery phrase. The Opensea development team has immediately mitigated the issue by releasing an update which patches the vulnerability. It is imperative for all users to immediately update Opensea to protect their assets. Failure to do so may result in loss of assets. Due to the urgent nature of this incident, an official statement from Opensea will be released soon. If you were not able to update in time and all of your NFTs were stolen, please contact us at security@opensea.io -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- John Kalluman POST NAVIGATION Drops on OpenSea: An Immersive and Secure Minting Experience OTHER SIMILAR POSTS Announcement DROPS ON OPENSEA: AN IMMERSIVE AND SECURE MINTING EXPERIENCE September 19, 2022September 19, 2022 Since our founding in 2017, OpenSea has become the best place to explore the vast world of NFTs.
