by itself. No extension and 0 b long.

Dear Ugo,
Regarding "I was logging into my Microsoft account and a file named prelanding
downloaded by itself. No extension and 0 b long.", where do you encounter the
issue, the personal OneDrive online place (www.onedrive.com), the OneDrive for
Business site
(https://contoso-my.sharepoint.com/personal/username_contoso_onmicrosoft_com) or
some SharePoint Online site libraries like
https://contoso.sharepoint.com/sites/sitename/documentlibraryname?
Do you just click on the file there and the file is downloaded? Could you upload
some screenshots showing the issue symptoms in your environment for our
reference?

Got the same issue for the last 2-4 weeks. It occurs more or less each time I
start the email online.
This file downloads itself.
Mac Pro 2018, safari version 16.4 (18615.1.26.11.23)

I use both business and personal MS accounts - this occurs when I visit
office.com business account from Safari browser on my 2011 iMac signed into my
personal account - file named 'prelanding' just downloads as page starts
loading. Also, saw other names of files self-downloading when accessing sections
of the office.com page, e.g., My Content, Cloud Files

For the past 2 weeks I too have been having this problem. When I go into my
Office business account and click on Outlook for the first time of the day from
Safari browser (v16.1) on macOS (Ventura 13.0) I get an empty (0 bytes) file
called 'prelanding' downloaded. Outlook does not open until I click on it again.

I have a similar problem, but the file gets downloaded from Safari
automatically.
When opening fileinfo it shows the document comes from Microsoft:
"https://login.microsoftonline.com/"

Sorry for the inconvenience the issue caused in your environment.
It looks like the issue happens in the Safari browser on your Macs.
I'd like you first check whether the issue happens when you use other browsers
on your Mac and use a browser on a Windows computer.
If no, the issue may be related to the Safari browser for Mac. I think that the
next step may be to collect some network trace logs from your sides, contact the
in your company and let him open a support ticket to our related team as soon as
possible by the steps in the following article so that they can focus on the
issues with the corresponding logs from your sides and collaborate with the
Safari support if it is needed for further investigation and help you fix the
issues.

I do not get this problem on Firefox which is the only other browser I have
installed on my MacBook. I don't have a Windows machine so cannot test that.

Tried the same with Chrome and the issue did not occur.
I don't have a windows computer, so I cannot test.
In addition:
The problem did not occur in Safari as long as I'm not logged on to my office
account in Safari.
In order to be able to reply to this thread I needed to log in in Safari again
and the "prelanding" download starts almost immediatlely.
