As your prescription benefits manager for UPMC Health Plan, Express Scripts
wants you to know about a new
program that your Health Plan has adopted that could save you or your
dependent(s) money at the pharmacy.
This program is offered through Express Scripts’ partnership with GoodRx. It
unlocks potential savings on
generic medications when prescriptions are filled at an in-network pharmacy.1
Savings will be automatic! Just fill prescriptions at an in-network pharmacy and
show you and/or your
dependent(s)’ ID card(s). If the prescription is eligible for savings, it will
automatically be processed through the
program with the savings, and out-of-pocket costs will be updated.
In order to provide this benefit, we may have to share certain information with
GoodRx. This includes you
and/or your dependent(s)’ diagnosis, plus demographic and prescription
information. GoodRx may then share
that information with others, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
If you and/or your dependent(s) want to opt out of this program so that this
information is not shared with
GoodRx, please call the number on the back of your ID card. The request will be
processed as quickly as
possible. Otherwise, this information may be shared when the generic medication
is next filled for you or your
dependent(s).

anywhere, visit express-
scripts.com or use the Express Scripts® mobile app. If you have any additional
questions, just call the number on
