cash payout of RM200 per day.

Car Re-Spray Coverage

Get covered for repainting the whole car. Applicable for cars below 10 years

EXCLUSION

WITHOUT OPTIONAL BENEFITS

This certificate does not cover certain losses, such as:

 * • Your own death or bodily injury due to a motor accident;
 * • Your liability against claims from passengers in your vehicle;
 * • Loss, damage or liability arising from an act of nature i.e. flood, storm
   or landslide; and
 * • Consequential loss, depreciation, wear and tear, rust and corrosion,
   mechanical or electronic breakdowns, failures or breakages, equipment or
   computer malfunction.

Note: This list is non-exhaustive. Please refer to the takaful certificate for
the full list of exclusions.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

   

 * Is this motor takaful plan a product of Citibank Berhad?
   
   No, this takaful product is not a Citibank Berhad product. Citibank is a
   distributor of this takaful product underwritten by Etiqa General Takaful
   Berhad.

 * Can I approach Citibank to sign up, arrange for claim or for other inquiries
   I may have regarding this motor takaful plan?
   
   Customers can sign up online via clicking the call-to-action button and land
   on Etiqa’s website – subject to Etiqa’s terms and conditions, and privacy
   notice. Customers are required to liaise with Etiqa directly on product and
   claim related questions.
    

 * Can I sign up motor takaful on behalf of my spouse or parents?
   
   It is advisable that the driver/car owner themselves sign up the motor
   takaful certificate themselves.

 * How do I sign up for additional flood, windscreen or other add-ons?
   
   Select Comprehensive Motor Takaful and determine the sum covered. You will
   then be able to select the additional coverage from the list of add-ons.

 * What is Agreed Value? How is it different with Market Value?
   
   The contribution amount for Agreed Value is usually higher than Market Value.
   If total loss occurs, the claim payment for Agreed Value will be the same
   amount that was agreed upon at the point of sign up. The claims amount for
   Market Value is dependent on your car’s market value at the time of incident.

 * What should I do if I’m involved in an accident?
   
   • Make a police report within 24 hours of the accident.
   • Register your claims with Etiqa General Takaful Berhad, or visit the
   nearest Etiqa branch.
   • Contact Etiqa at 1-300-88-1007 for queries on claims process or status.

 * What is the difference between certificate excess (voluntary excess) and
   excess (compulsory excess)?
   
   Voluntary excess refers to the excess mentioned in your certificate
   agreement, and is applicable in every claim. Compulsory excess refers to an
   additional excess amount that you are required to pay in the event of claim
   if the driver is:
   • Below 21 years old
   • Holding an L license
   • Holding a full license less than 2 years

 * What information is sent to the Department of Road Transport (JPJ) during
   verification part of the renewal process?
   
   Engine and chassis number of the vehicle being covered as well as the vehicle
   owner’s new IC (or old IC) and the dates to start or end the takaful cover.

 * Will I lose my No Claim Discount (NCD) if I make a claim?
   
   You will not lose your NCD if the third party driver is at fault. The
   ultimate decision of the party at fault will be determined by evidence from
   the police investigation.

 * In the event of theft, how long do I have to wait for my claim?
   
   The length of time to finalise your claim is dependent on the completion of
   investigation from the police and the certified independent adjuster
   (appointed by Etiqa General Takaful Berhad).

 * I added on windscreen cover. What happens to my cover after a claim?
   
   If the claim amount is less than the covered amount, the windscreen is still
   covered, but with a lower value for the remaining certificate year. Example,
   if you’re covered with RM1,000 for windscreen and the repair cost is RM250,
   you’re still covered for the balance of RM750 until the certificate expires.

 * Do I have to pay first to replace my windscreen?
   
   If your car is repaired at an Etiqa panel workshop, Etiqa will pay the costs
   directly to the said workshop.
